My BCs Tess and her son JackBNimble lived to be 16.2 and 17 yrs. respectively. Jack was a big BC, bigger than my neighbour's Aussie. He and his Mum were sweet and smart too.
I love seeing Clark, too. I have 2 talking dogs. One of them will tell you stories and carry on a conversation like Clark, and the other wants you to be quiet and sympathetic while he talks. Dogs are wonderful.
If you get a spam call asking for money, tell thst person on the line, you'll connect him to your financial aid director,call out for Clark to come to the phone, and tell Clark to talk to that person. I called my BC Tess to talk-doggy talk, not barking (too obvious)into the phone. She did, he hung up and he never called again.
Don't we wonder what it is he could be trying to communicate...? He's so expressive and seems to know he's limited but such a bright soul. I recall my mom telling me in my early youth that according to scripture, there was a time when we humans could commune with other creatures with full understanding. I get glimpses of that lost treasure once in a while with the cats that I care for. Words aren't the vehicle, it's more the intent we have in our being. Love Clark..!!
I think you can communicate with dogs, but it's more body language. I can tell what my dog is going to do by watching him. We do have a sixth sense like animals. A dog can make a judgement of a person straight away, we can too. If you think back, and remember when you had a gut feeling about somebody. A split second when it crosses your mind that a person is a 'dodgy' character, but we ignore it and give them the benefit of the doubt, then later realise your gut feeling was right. I have, I married him and he turned out to be a complete psycho! I always trust my gut instinct now.

The guy who made that video is brilliant! I don't know who he is (he sounds Canadian to me, and also sounds like a professional voice actor), but none of the people who tried to copy what he did even came close. (Of course, we know none if this would have been possible without Clark G.)

I had 2 dogs that used to talk just like he does. you knew that they knew exactly what you were saying to them. Now I have a cat that's a certified chatterbox and loves holding "conversations".
Dogs are a gift and I think they all have something special to offer to us humans who love them. Some are bad rascals but only because they were raised wrong.
