First seen in competition in the US at second level, the turn on the haunches is a very important training tool that ‘grows up’ into the walk pirouette.
In this video, JJ and Norma show us how she introduces horses to this movement, as well as how to break it down to really help the horse (and rider!) understand the concept of moving the shoulders and bending in the direction of travel.
