I was debating c1 Hu Tao with homa next rerun. I may just get Xianyun and the Homa instead. Here's the thing he didn't address, though... what about vapes? If the plunges affect the ability to vape on those hits it won't necessarily be a dps increase. raw Hu Tao damage might go up, but fewer vaped CA's and some non-vaped plunges might not translate to increased dps overall. though it would be nice when HuTao has to hit numerous targets all at once.
@@johns783It's different for Hu Tao than for Diluc cause Diluc was only using Xingqiu whereas Hu Tao would prefer a double hydro setup (Furina, Xingqiu, Yelan) which makes it much less likely that she won't vape everything correctly
That third jump plunge attack seems a bit wonky since she's aiming at the center of mass but can't occupy it because of the boss body being in the way. It makes it less smooth aesthetically speaking.
I like how unlike most catalyst users....she can chain her charged and normal attacks without the involuntary cc that happens if you try to do the same with barbruh or sucrose among others

It's so funny that Xianyun can make herself a dps, really gives me that c6 Faruzan vibes, gonna love her once I get her. Anyway try a mono geo Itto team with Xianyun, I want to see how good it is?
I tried it and it’s surprisingly good, maybe I’m not used to it yet but I found that with Itto and Diluc I need normal or charge attack before plunging so they don’t jump like a mile away mid air. So with Itto I would do a charge into plunge. With C6 Gorou Xianyun and Furina (C3 though) I would charge for 75k I believe and 140K plunges, seemed to clear faster against PMA in abyss than any other Itto team I’ve tried!

I would really love to see a team with her and the two daughters!!! Just Xianyun, Shenhe and Chong or a physical DPS Ganyu build idk...I just really wanted to see the bird mom with her children.

And while that would be interesting from a thematic point of view, it would be one of the weakest teams in the game unless you build Ganyu to be a Burst Sub-DPS and use someone else as the Main DPS. Using Ganyu as a Plunge DPS would significantly nerf her since her Primary Damage Source is her Charged Attack.
I pulled for her knowing nearly nothing about her kit, i just knew she does plunge attack buffing. Her exploration abilities are surprisingly good. Triple jump covers a good distance horizontally and vertically. Also the gliding speed buff is pretty good. I wasn't expecting to replace a member of my exploration party today, but she's now in there together with Kirara, Sayu and Ayaka. Now i have full land, air and sea covered.

if you really experience playing her especially with C1 you'll realize why they made the decision, it would be way toooooooo op that she can literlaly fly to Celestia in that case. Tbh she still extremely relaxing to play and explore in open world even without that gimmick

These content creators are the reason why hoyoverse are never going to take global seriously. Things like these can set a precedent as “Hey these guys are whaling so that means I could maybe just spend a few 5 dollars” and that’s how we end up with hoyoverse treating us crappy.
Hoyo played it smart. Hpyo knew how anticipated Xianyun was, designed her pretty well and despite not having birdlike exploration properties, she is very excellent in exploration and enables many strong teams, and allow Xianyun to take the spotlight as the Lantern Rite reward drama fades into obscurity. Overall, Hoyo just knew that the rioting and boycotting was just a fad and that other trends could take its place like the Xianyun hype. Just look at CN iOS revenue stats. Xianyun and Nahida sold more in a day than Furina'a banner revenue. It's insane just how much doomposting about Xianyun went on, but came out with positive vibes. Even Chenyu Vale gives positive vibes- most refined exploration gimmick with the gold koi, peaceful Liyue nostalgia, and even the second refinement to Black Iron sword. Hoyo played the stalling game and won. Hoyo may be too stingy with making changes, but damn do they know the playerbase trends.
Tbh the drama was such a brilliant marketing tactic and it worked just how they planned. Within a few weeks no one will even remember the drama 😂 this community can’t take a stand for the life of them. Dehya was perfect example of that, ppl were pleading to stick together and not pull but ppl couldn’t help themselves. Even though majority of us will lose their 50/50 to her they c6’d her. My friend saved for a year only to c6 her and lose to her soon after. Made him quit. I don’t get the train of thought of these ppl…I saved for dehya too? Does the icy quills that shenhe provide work with plunge through dmg? Cause then it would be pretty interesting to see what any character with a high plunge mutliplier could do in a (Shenhe+Xianyun+Chongyun+fill) could do! Or you could even try some reverse melt setup, and just use Shenhe or Chongyun as the on fielder. Also great video. i like the new intro as well.
Can you try Xianyun with Furina, Dehya, and Candace? Dehya should be able to fix the interruption issue, and Candace's hyro infusion could fix the hydro swirl issue. Dehya's skill does extra Pyro dmg, so I'm interested to see if it could be a scuffed vape team with normally unused characters.
Great video! You didn't mention the massive buff her talent gives world exploration..worth mentioning. I think your video and others have sold me...I got 50/50'ed on the banner and pulled a Dehya, my first 5 star :( I was torn on Yae Miko, Nahida (I know she wrecks but playing a weird little kid is not what I want to do), or Xianyun. I love her character design.

Like others said already a team with Ganyu and Shenhe would be nice. Just for the lore reasons and to see if there actually is a way to make it work. Probably with Chongyun, so that Shenhe can cryo plunge.
I would love to see some shenanigans with Ayaka, Shenhe, Xianyun, and Zhongli (or maybe Yun Jin but that might be too much flat damage bonus). Just using plunges, could be fun.
I'm not sure if this team will work well but maybe xianyun, furina, nahida and yae or keqing? I'm thinking about a hyper-plunge team. Nahida and furina to create the cores and keqing or yae to trigger the cores with their electro infused plunge attacks enhanced by xianyun.

This feels exactly like praising Hoyo, when instead they need the opposite. Addressing the new years drama and asking for change then dropping a video praising Hoyo for Cloud Retainer. Gotta say this will probably be my last month or so on Genshin until Wuthering waves drops, this dev team is not worth staying for.
I think one of the craziest benefits of Plunge Attacks is the fact that they have no ICDs, meaning you can vape/melt every single plunge attack. Hoping I get her because I would love to play her with Diluc, Wriothesley, Ayaka, and most of all C6 Furina who can now vape every single one of her C6 attacks. If you have any plans to do a Whale showcase with C6 characters, please give Forward Vape C6 Furina a try!
try raiden, sara, bennett, xianyun, or any variation of a team with plunge raiden as the main dps with xianyun! raiden's burst has a really cool-looking plunge attack that i feel like goes to waste, and i'd love to see you try out this team :D

I’ve mostly migrated to HSR but I do want to play Gaming because I STILL don’t have a decent Pyro DPS in my account of like 3-4 years even though I’ve whaled on it constantly. I never use any 4 star DPS so I want my ONE pyro Dps to be Gaming. So I’m hoping to get more copies of him by wishing since you get the free one, I won’t say no to getting Bayonetta Bird by accident

Honestly u forgot one thing, using her jumpy thingys, u can boost yourself up (hills) and u can climb without wasting much stamina, I use her as support because my navia can almost kill anything she wants, and knowing I have tighnari who is okay, I easily kill stuff.
Right now I'm using C0 xianyun(+her weapon), C0 furina, C2 nahida and C0 raiden. All the 3 archons have BiS equipment. Can you tell me your opinion about this team? Also something that I'd like to try with this team is using xianyun burst support for raiden's burst... Really hope you'll try this team
I'd like to see Xianyun kit expanded to better support wider team comps. Extend kit to encompass Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks too, the basis is there with Plunging Attack; just add more on Normal, Charged Attacks too. In general Plunging Attacks are hard to lineup, normals and charged are easier to hit. Against high mobility enemies your plunges are useless, whereas a normal or charged attack would provide better offense.
I believe not spending and raising our voices about Genshin Impact is a must, we must do so everyday we can and let our voices continuously be heard. But we should not let the limited content and prizes, the little prizes we actually get, be lost. So, the practice would be, do the events, get the dailies and log off. We can explore the new areas after the company hear us, but we should also get the “free” stuff as f2p players would lose doubled if they do not play. Could you help the community on this strike? We want end game content. It would be good if they let us replay the story all over again, as the data is there already. We want more opportunities to get limited chars. We want content for the time between events and history launches.

Suggested Team - Xianyun, Dendro Traveler, Keqing, Fischl I suggest this team cause this is what i'm trying to make work and the timings of the rotations are wonky. Still pretty fun tho, so whateves
Shenhe, Chongyun/Ayaka, Furina, and Xianyun is pretty silly comp that you should try out. Both Shenhe and Xianyun utilizes their high attack to make whoever plunging do crazy damage. There is also Raiden, Xianyun, Furina, Kujou Sara, which is just a dumb team that utilizes the fact that Raiden Burst can plunge. Not sure if it is even good since I'm not sure if Riaden's burst plunge attack even count as a plunge attack.

Use Chongyun, Bennet, Xiangling and Bayonetta

Shenhe? Do you mean cryo Xiao??😂😂, my hybrid shenhe with Xianyun and Chongyun casually make 50k to every enemie in the aoe with every plunge.
Shenhe actually has a pretty good plunge attack potential, Xianyun Shenhe team could definitely work.

Even without plunging this team can def work, it adds swirl into the mix so VV will still buff ganyu pretty massively

Even Chenyu Vale gives positive vibes- most refined exploration gimmick with the gold koi, peaceful Liyue nostalgia, and even the second refinement to Black Iron sword.

Does the icy quills that shenhe provide work with plunge through dmg? Cause then it would be pretty interesting to see what any character with a high plunge mutliplier could do in a (Shenhe+Xianyun+Chongyun+fill) could do! Or you could even try some reverse melt setup, and just use Shenhe or Chongyun as the on fielder.

Can you try Xianyun with Furina, Dehya, and Candace? Dehya should be able to fix the interruption issue, and Candace's hyro infusion could fix the hydro swirl issue. Dehya's skill does extra Pyro dmg, so I'm interested to see if it could be a scuffed vape team with normally unused characters.
Great video! You didn't mention the massive buff her talent gives world exploration..worth mentioning. I think your video and others have sold me...I got 50/50'ed on the banner and pulled a Dehya, my first 5 star :( I was torn on Yae Miko, Nahida (I know she wrecks but playing a weird little kid is not what I want to do), or Xianyun. I love her character design.

Like others said already a team with Ganyu and Shenhe would be nice. Just for the lore reasons and to see if there actually is a way to make it work. Probably with Chongyun, so that Shenhe can cryo plunge.
I would love to see some shenanigans with Ayaka, Shenhe, Xianyun, and Zhongli (or maybe Yun Jin but that might be too much flat damage bonus). Just using plunges, could be fun.

I think one of the craziest benefits of Plunge Attacks is the fact that they have no ICDs, meaning you can vape/melt every single plunge attack. Hoping I get her because I would love to play her with Diluc, Wriothesley, Ayaka, and most of all C6 Furina who can now vape every single one of her C6 attacks. Honestly u forgot one thing, using her jumpy thingys, u can boost yourself up (hills) and u can climb without wasting much stamina, I use her as support because my navia can almost kill anything she wants, and knowing I have tighnari who is okay, I easily kill stuff.

hey, just wanted to say that I appreciate the effort you put into pronouncing her name correctly and you're doing a great job with it!
I'd like to see Xianyun kit expanded to better support wider team comps. Extend kit to encompass Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks too, the basis is there with Plunging Attack; just add more on Normal, Charged Attacks too. In general Plunging Attacks are hard to lineup, normals and charged are easier to hit. Against high mobility enemies your plunges are useless, whereas a normal or charged attack would provide better offense.
I believe not spending and raising our voices about Genshin Impact is a must, we must do so everyday we can and let our voices continuously be heard. But we should not let the limited content and prizes, the little prizes we actually get, be lost. So, the practice would be, do the events, get the dailies and log off.
We can explore the new areas after the company hear us, but we should also get the “free” stuff as f2p players would lose doubled if they do not play.
Could you help the community on this strike?

Shenhe, Chongyun/Ayaka, Furina, and Xianyun is pretty silly comp that you should try out. Both Shenhe and Xianyun utilizes their high attack to make whoever plunging do crazy damage.
There is also Raiden, Xianyun, Furina, Kujou Sara, which is just a dumb team that utilizes the fact that Raiden Burst can plunge. Not sure if it is even good since I'm not sure if Riaden's burst plunge attack even count as a plunge attack.
