You forgot a lot of iconic hip-hop samples Police songs that sampled those iconic samples because there's some songs that use the same sample you forgot the Bohemians and Brand Nubian using that song for their song Slow Down
I’ve done a few videos in this series so I’m trying not to duplicate things
Well you’ve just got a new follower!! Love these source videos! Great to see the source of all these classics! You need to do one on just drum breaks and one shots :)
The amount of songs i just added to my spotify lmao, thanks !
Glad to help 👍
If you made a playlist you tryna slide that
I’m with you on that☝🏾
Same
@@DJFurio much respect to herb albert and herbie hancock being the most sampled artists in hip hop songs...as a jazz fan i knew the samples when i heard them :D
The beauty of sampling is that we can listen to the same tune and hear it completely different
This what this Hip Hop is missing right now.. these magical elements
Can’t beat those classic 90’s sounds
90s producers had a good ear for samples
They had too... Didn't have the technology we have today
Wu Tang's Underdog sample in my opinion is top 10.
When I first heard it, it blew my mind and still does.
These producers really add an entire different energy to these samples.
Glad you like the video. Thanks for watching
Bob James - Storm King
…Is also the sample used by New Edition on “Hit Me Off” 🔥🔥🔥
Great Video Fam! ✌🏾
was just about to type this
What a gem... And only 250 views
Thanks for watching
You've got some deep cuts on here. Love it!
Appreciate it. 90s were the best
the way you do it is very nice. Short and directly to the point. Amazing work !
Glad you like it
U are right
So u mean to tell me Swizz sampled a video game for "Money, Cash, Hoes?!" Wow 🔥🔥🔥
Yep sample from Golden Axe
DJ.PREMIER AND PETE ROCK HAD I THINK THE MOST HITS IN THE 90S FIRE TRACKS AND RAPPERS KILLING THE FLOWS LYRICS 🔥
Just goosebumps all over
I LOVE samples....especially the creative ones....respect to all the producers/ diggers with those amazing ears....Sometimes I end up loving the original more than the rap song. The producers gave these artists new life.Sampling is hip hop at its core.New subscriber here
Thanks for watching and subscribing
@@DJFurio Keep doing what you do.Respect.
Like it's well said, "Hip-Hop didn't invent anything, it reinvented everything"
@@deepaparakkal4241 you should watch the “Everything is a Remix” series on YT! As a sample hunter it’s a great insight!
Ahmad Jamal's 'Misdemeanor' was also sampled for 'Soliloquy of Chaos' by GangStarr.
I pride myself as a bit of a guru on music and the sampling of but I gotta say, you taught me quite a few here... very nice... keep bangin' 🙌🏽
Glad you found a few new ones in there. Thanks for watching
Hip Hop is truly a music of all genres, funk is the foundation but there is space for all music in the house.
Growing up I listened to a little of everything until about 84ish I narrowed my scope.
I still listened to a little bit of rock, pop, top 40. Of course Prince, The Time and Michael Jackson a big influence but it was rap that captured me.
One of my sons is really in to music and I love sharing samples with him.
Makes me miss my records
Hip hop is the reason why I like so many 1970s songs
The way Above the clouds was sampled was to me the best sampling
Great job. Educational for the younger generation as well us Old School Bruvs :)
Thanks for watching
This was excellent. Don’t change anything and keep them coming.
Thanks for watching
This was pure gold. Thanks for putting it together 🥇
Thanks for watching 👍
MJ
Ahhh! Simple E “Play My Funk” sampled Mr. Herbie Hancock’s “Oliloqui Valley” (hope I spelled that right lol) - one of my favorite pieces from both, the originator and the sampler - excellent music! As usual, a fantastic video, thanks for all ur efforts in capturing these gems 💎💯☺️
Appreciate you watching 👍
She used it best!!!
@@ashkwam6069 TOTALLY 💯
I knew her name ended with an E. No disrespect to the God Rakim but her delivery and voice killed that sample
PERFECT ! Thank you so much Dj Furio

Want to talk about pure genius??? The way Swiss Beats flipped the Japanese sample at 23:48… damn , just damn…
I love that sample
...don't forget the makers of "golden axe" used it too!
Honorable mention for that JB's sample W.C. (Low Profile) - Pay ya dues '1989
This was dope. Brought me back. Keep doing it
Thanks for watching
This is so awesome! There were definitely some songs that I didn't know were sampled and it was cool to see where the sample came from. Much appreciated, great work!

Can't believe they didn't choose that one
The year needs to match the sample plus I’ve done it in another video already. Check my playlists for sample breakdowns of most Gang Starr albums
Good effort collecting all these songs...

Thanks for watching
Never knew that Ingrid one. Magic!
Glad I could help
That KC album also has some insane breaks on it. One of my fav early finds. Hijack liked it so much not only did they sample it but they stuck the whole breaks at the end of their 12" :)
Had to subscribe to your channel I’m an old school hip hop head and I’m very proficient in crate digging but my friend you slipped a few on me that I didn’t know about. Keep up the good work☝️

"Don't Sweat the technique" also contains a sample of "NT" by Kool & the Gang
This channel is the shit 🔥 💪🏾

I love Nice and Smooth and Tracy Chapman
She demanded like all the publishing on that one

One of my favorites is ABBA's "The Name of the Game" = Fugees "Rumble In The Jungle."
Sly had wicked beats!
fantastic vid
Glad you like it
great collection and not only obvious ones
👍
Very good use of the medium of CZcams
Thanks for watching
I like that you went the Sly and the Family Stone for Mamma Said Knock you Out. Everyone knows it's Funky Drummer but not many people know that.
Thanks. I often try and show some of the less obvious samples in my videos. Keeps things a bit more interesting.
Good stuff man. I'm pretty up on my breaks but you got me with some of these
Nice. I gotta to expand my musical catalog off this one video. Introducing all types of misic.
Glad you like it. I’ve made a lot of sample videos on my channel if you’re interested.
keep up the great work subscribed and liked. i was just thinking about tracks that i would have loved to know what samples where used. especially since we cant look inside cd cases no more. You are a G for this.
Appreciate it 👍
@@DJFurio No problem. Us true music fans appreciate you as well
Bob James "Storm King" the group I was thinking of who sample this song is New Edition with their song "Hit me off!"
Proper 90’s R&B track.
"EvenThough I Was Born In 1989 I Grew Up Listening To Alot Of Oldies With My Grandma and Grandpa Meanwhile Along With My Mommy and Daddy Hip-Hop Based On Reality Word On The Streets Thanks For Sharing May God Continue To Bless You Covered By The Blood Of Jesus At All Times Much Love and Respect."
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
Ahmad Jamal - misdemeanor is also use for Gang Starr Chaos track so dope
deserved coffee heading your way 🎚
Really appreciated. Thanks 👍👍
Muito som pesado !!!
Shoutout to my hero/mentor Ski because he's the producer on at least 6 of these cuts!!! Greensboro, NC Stand T.F. UP!!!
Respect🔥🔥🔥from JPN
Thanks for watching
It's crazy some of these samples I think damn theres like 4-5 songs this could be and you pick the cut that I didn't even think about because it was a B side or a deep deep album cut.
Yeah I try to throw in a few not too obvious ones to keep things interesting.
‘94 and on and on
i really love "right back at you" beat
9th Creation's 'Rule of Mind' was also used for 'Derelicts of Dialect' by 3rd Bass.
It’s like a game of “ Guess the sample”
Gangstarr's "Soliloquy of chaos" alongside the Black Smif N Wesson joint
