This was a tough decision w me but I ended up getting the Y. The amount of space and seat height is better. Although I like the interior of the new 3 better, the removal of the stalks was just horrible. Not a good fit for me personally

First off, thank you for this video, so informative. I'm currently on the market for a Tesla, initially I wanted the Y but after test driving the new Model 3 I've been a little swayed. If you were on the market which one would you go for out the two?
Glad the video is helpful. My first choice is wait for the Model Y Refresh. if I had to get a car right now... I would just just rent/lease a car for now. The model 3 is great, but I LOVE the cargo space of the Model Y.
@@UTECHPIA I plan to lease. I put a deposit down for the Model 3 highland yesterday but looking at the inventory for the Y and the discounted price i’m considering switching. I loved the drive of the model 3 highland but I’m worried long term.
In regards to waiting for the refresh, I’m without a car and that wait could be too long.
@@MoghulVeyron That is a good idea! Lease the Model 3 Highland, enjoy it for 2 years, then buy the Model Y Juniper when it's available!
No one wants to stare at a screen that low to the ground just to watch something from the backseat. Would still prefer a screen directly behind the seat

As soon as Highland performance is available to order in Phoenix I'm getting it. Stealth Grey black interior. My first EV. I love the acceleration, minimalism, tech, stalkless design it's futuristic just to name a few

I am 1,72m, my wife 1,63m, we have 2 small kids as well (1 & 3 years). Model 3 Highland seems to be more than enough for a family like us, i guess?
The Model 3 Highland is great! I would recommend doing a test drive with Tesla (or even an overnight test drive like I did so you can really see how it fits your family).

I spent some time with these two vehicles. The M3H is a few rungs above in interior quality. I am sure the improvements will be available with the refresh Y. For practicality, the Y is better. For fun to drive .... M3H duh! The ride quality is also improved with the M3H.
You have to really assess your use cases to determine if you need the space of the Y else you would have more smiles with the 3.

The indicator buttons are horrible. That wasn’t a good idea. But I still like the new highland. Can’t wait for the Model Y upgrade next year. 😇

Is the highland quiter and less bumpy on the road than your 2023 model Y? Which one has a better ride, with less road noise?
Hi Kareem, the 2024 Model 3 Highland is more comfortable than my 2023 Model Y Performance, the suspension has improved. Road noise: hard to tell, they are about the same for my first impression.

road noise improved a lot. Model 3 Highland has acoustic glass all around, and sound dampnening. Unlike old model Y only on front door glass windows. Y is much noisy. Go drive one and compare.

What configuration did you get for the M3? If you could keep only one, do you pick the M3 or MY?
Also, I'm debating between 18" and 19" wheels. I heard its a compromise between better mileage (18) vs better turn handling (19). Any thoughts?

I got the Base SR Model 3. If you have a family and need the extra cargo space, go with the Model Y. I like the Model Y better.

Do you think that the unpainted metal cargo panel on the model 3 can be somehow removed later on?😂 I'm planning to sleeping at the back when I go for camping and it restricks the space.
We do have floor mats in the new M3 RWD is Europe, I wonder why they took them off in US, looks like stupid cost saving. Nevertheless an awesome car, super happy after 2 months having it here in Spain

I have two girls (3 & 5) but I usually don’t need to carry baby trolley. I make about 50 miles per day. Would you buy the 3 (new) or Y (2024) as first EV?
Can you wait for the refresh model y (2025). If so, that is what I would recommend. Otherwise. It is a tough choice that only you can make because as laid out in my video, there are pros and cons.

LOL. Nobody turns on the indicators after or during turning. We normally turn them on right when we start turning or slightly before.
What if you are in the parking lot, looking for a parking space. Your wheels are slightly turned, when you noticed someone backing out of a parking spot, and you need to signal to claim the spot…. 😅

Im trying to hold out for the model 3 performance, however im worried that it will go over the $55k price therefore will not qualify for the $7500 tax credit, your thoughts? So im thinking of getting the model Y performance 2024
the upcoming refresh Model Y Performance is a better vehicle for most people. I'd wait for that :)

Absolutely! IMO, it is the BEST Model 3 Tesla has ever made! It more of a “Model S” than before!
What are your thoughts on the fabric door ?does it looks cheap compare with long range alcantara?
It doesn't look cheap, but it's not as nice as alcantara :)
