Lovely envelope such a simple idea with a great result.
And I totally agree with the, as they say-slip and score. Why it's not score and slip.
    Happy clay days

It’s funny when teaching a workshop you have to say it backwards so it actually makes sense to people. Score first, slip second, but I call it slip and score! 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ jeesh, the English language is so confusing sometimes!!! 😂 Yes, I know jeesh isn’t a word, but it should be. 😜 And, thank you!

Beautiful job. Now I want to make one. Love the heart rolling pin. ❤️ what is your table top made from? I find it interesting and a bright surface as well. Good color for videoing on.

Kevin made it out of a white MDF he picked up at the local hardware store. The legs are made from Unistrut he uses on his commercial job-sites. It’s bolted to the floor so multiple people can use it without movement.

Oh well I don't believe I've seen a table made of this before. I hope it serves you and your participants very well.

It’s not a typical studio table. I don’t particularly appreciate using Canvas in my studio. It makes too much dust and requires too much maintenance to keep clean since you can’t put dust-saturated cloth in the washing machine. I find it easier to use cornstarch and paper to prevent clay from sticking to my surfaces.

When do you remove the sponge

Once the clay is in its leather hard state you will want to remove the sponge to prevent cracking.
