I have 2 college assignments due in this week, so today's video is a rushed recreation, Final Showdown re-creation with the beta soundtrack for the mission.
According to Madman, Final Showdown was longer and had like 3 different endings. It's not like this theme replaced the one in the final version, they both were going to be used but one was cut and recycled in Rats in the library. Take this with a grain of salt tho.
I can see why they changed the music. While the music which they reused for Rats in the Library is good, it just doesn't fit and have as much impact as the one they used in the final version of the game. However, deadpoolXYZ said that both songs were meant to be used but the alternate ending got cut for unknown reasons so they re-used the music for Rats in the Library. My only guess is that maybe the other ending was a bad ending where maybe Gary was going to die (I heard that Gary was meant to die at the end from somewhere, can't exactly remember though) but they scrapped it since this is a T-rated/16+ game.
Why didn't Gary mention anything about the violent drunk homeless man who appears to has PTSD from an experience involving the death of his comrades? Or the fact that this same man requested drugs from a 15 year old? Or maybe even the fact that he gave military-grade CQC training to that very same 15 year old?
Because he is Big Boss. And he saw Jimmy as diamond, rough one, but still a diamond. And he needed drugs and alcohol to create both molotov cocktail and painkillers. Also he ate a tree frog to survive and in that day, he saw new life. Snake on Bullworth's logo is dedicated to him. If Jimmy's hair wouldn't turn into buzz cut with hats I would make Snake's attire

This soundtrack could've been good if it was made with a cartoony vibe kind of way, as it sounds like someone trying to sneak around from a person or something.
I will say this forever until the day I die; Garry should've pulled a knife in the final showdown just to punctuate how incredibally life or death he legitimately though this situation was while the others were just playing along like normal kids
the high version of the beta final showdown song fits with the fight of Johnny Vincent and you have to help Petey get to the crane that mission it's cool tho
he didnt make a mod out of this he just played the mission and put rats in the library music through supermod or in the editing app added said music while the gameplay is going

Pretty easy why they switched to the one thry ultimately ended up using. For this final battle situation this music just sounds silly. Glad it makes an appearance though, in the rat mission where it fits way better.
I like the song but it fits better with rats in the library, epic choral music, smooth bass and menacing piano slams are more appropriate. Although the beat is sick when it lines up with Gary's speeches.
I think it's only about the soundtrack because originally this was the boss ost. I think the one we got was more dramatic and better suited for Gary's mania tho.
