I too was surprised upon first discovery and ended up a really big fan of their music and live performances. In this song, the music and video add levity to some pretty dark lyrics- so an interesting juxtaposition. Loved the "misift like" monster crew they gained.

I'm there with you, first time I heard of them was with the song Bloody Angel (great song btw) and I really enjoyed it but then I saw what tjey looked like and I was like ok yesh I'm not listening to this band, then another song came up later on, Hail the Apocalypse and I loved that one too, that's when I said ok let me look more into them and now 2 years later they are on of my favorites bands

Yeah, it's easy to judge without giving a chance, I'm certainly guilty of it! So far i'm liking them well enough though, definitely interested in checking out more! :)

Yeah they run the full range of metal. No two songs or albums are alike. Definitely the most "pop" sounding song so far but it's not a change in style as a whole I assure you. 2 other songs released for the new album in lyric video (but almost real video) are Valley OF Disease & Violence No Matter What ft Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Both songs on the heavier side. They are talented and push themselves to be new and creative while still being true to what they feel metal should be.

Hey, can you react to Vomit The Soul - The Lost Aurea? Brutal death metal band from Italy!

Avatar just chillin with their fans.)) So cute.🥰🥰🥰 It always looks like the band is going to have problems right now, but the monsters turn out to be fans.)) Giant black figure is Ghost. 👻👻👻
The video was shot near the place where this album was recorded, in the Swedish woods, around middle of October. This cabin can be seen at the end. The car is same from Dance Devil Dance. So Devil assembled cultists and monsters to sabbath.)) 🤘🤘😈🤘🤘 But it's not one cinematic universe.((( Just my headcanon. Car supplier is John's (the drummer) brother in law, by the way.
The vampire is Ronja Kruus, she played Tim's girlfriend and also EDM dancer in Legend of Avatar Country: A Metal Odyssey. Early she was make up artist in The Eagle has Landed. It's so cute that they don't forget those with whom they used to work.))) And with the Аvatar Country this clip connects also the fabulousness and friendliness of what is happening.)) The main riff of the song has been sitting around for about 20 years (like Silence in the Age of Apes), the band has said, waiting to be used. Also melody leftovers from Smells like a Freakshow.)) I very recommend this video. It marked ten years anniversary! And Legend of Avatar Country: A Metal Odyssey - it have chapters.)) Featurette based on their seventh album.

Sorry, around middle-end of October. Тhe previous Dance Devil Dance clip was shot at a large Gothenburg Film Studios, when was the release date of this video, filming of Dirt was in full swing. And small club scenes was shoot in few nights, kinda 4 AM or so.
Johannes also said that this song has the vibes of a night car ride. And mentioned that they wanted Frankenstein's Monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon... but they looked at the budget and replaced it with a Mummy and an Invisible Man. 😂

  • @alancarter41

OK, where the hell was Frankenstein? How could they leave out the original monster? Should have had the mummy jump on the chopper, that would have been cool. Song was OK, not really my style. And I have no clue what they were trying to say with the video. Keep rocking.

@Alan Carter.. sometimes Avatar just have a good time with their videos.. The Eagle Has Landed & The King Welcomes You To Avatar Country are 2 other examples. If you like it heavier they do that, too. Hail the Apocolypse is a banger.. Napalm, Black Waltz.. much of their older stuff is quite heavy, as well as several from their last album Hunter Gatherer.. Barren Cloth Mother, Kings Harvest are great, too..imho
