David Kim - The Language of Audition

  • David Kim says he had to adjust to the unique challenges of orchestra auditions after spending years as a soloist. After he found success and became concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra, Kim says he would frequently receive questions from parents and other musicians about how to reach a similar level of achievement. In this Pepper interview, Kim talks about the nature of orchestra auditions and what he thinks are the two keys to success.
