I am a band teacher. I would love to see more videos like this. I love how it is directed towards teachers and reasons I might buy these tunes. Would you consider making videos that are directed towards band students? Give reasons why one of my students approach me and ask me to buy a certain piece of music.

I’m considering buying this camera. What I want to do is run outs from my Mackie mixer into the two XLR inputs on the Zoom. The Mackie is micing my full drumset. Can the camera support this, or will it clip out? Thanks

WOW! I've watched at least 10 video reviews Zoom F3. Yours is ONE of the BEST. The reason are: 1. Yours is the only video that shows the audio recording of the indoor percussion ensemble United Percussion. 2. You show how SIMPLE your microphone setup was and yet it produces amazing result. 3. You show the DIFFERENCE of a 32 bit audio track vs a NON 32 bit in Final Cut Pro. Thank you very much.

RIP Pat Martino. I first heard of him and his music in the 1970s. I was a teenager; now I am 72. He echos something I just recently realized. When young he was interested in competition, making a name for himself, claiming his own "turf." Then "poof" is was all gone. Then depression set in. That's kind of where I am at. Will have to consider playing with my toy again.

Is the video quality of the zoom Q8n dramatically better than the Q2n? The one I have a plan on returning soon is quite terrible. Even worse than an iPhone 6 -15 in any light condition, I’ve tested them in various lighting situations and honestly I’m surprised that even sell it and released it, considering how high video standards have gotten. It’s either grainy in low light or overexposed in daylight for the most part. Currently I’m using a Sony ZEISS with a movo shotgun mic and it’s pretty fantastic. But I’m not sure that it would record a live band performance from a distance very well. It’s great from about a few feet away though. Quite happy with it. I’d love your suggestions as to what you would do to have more flexibility in recording in various scenarios. Sounds like the product you are demonstrating could be a good solution but I’m pretty concerned about zoom video quality after buying and being disappointed with the Q2n.

I know I'm 2 years late, but I just recently got this camera; I have an important question, if you could still answer: your drumming video is of excellent quality; were you using the Q8n for that? because I can't get any indoor videos that are not low quality, grainy, regardless of how much lighting I have set up

Were the audio samples raw audio samples or edited?

The problem with modern mics is not the sound quality, it is more like the dynamic range and self noise which this cheap mics tend to have issues with.
