- Malaysia has said that it does not recognise sanctions imposed by individual countries. But it insists that it stands firm in not supporting or funding terrorist groups. Malaysia outlined its position in response to US concerns about Iran moving sanctioned oil through service providers based in the Southeast Asian country. Melissa Goh reports.

Anyway, US sanction strictly means US individuals/businesses are prohibited from doing business with the sanctioned entity. So in and of itself it is irrelevant to other countries, unless the US goes ahead and impose a secondary sanction targeting said countries.
