Excellent video. How did you link property filter to bedroom? What do I need to do? I've created a database for car make and model. When you click make i want to filter relevant models.... eg. Make Audi, Model A1

@@wixepicsolutions Do you have a video on how to turn and EXISTING page into a dynamic page? Not a form page. Just a regular static page with Title, title paragraph. ect. WIX is not helpful I have called three times each time I'm told no one is availabl to help with CMS and no one has called me back. I have my ticket number. I have emailed them multiple times in the last two weeks,. No result. Do you have video to help with this? Thank you.

You explained all so very well. Thank you! I am a complete novice in website design and am trying to learn as much as possible before I start creating CMS and dynamic pages. I have one question: my understanding was that the Dynamic page is used for the main page that will display the list of the items, and then the Dynamic item pages are used for displaying each of the items separately. So, I assumed that after I've created the dynamic page, I create the item pages and then design their layout, but you commented that the item pages are created using a template. Is that a template provided by Wix? I assume that template can be modified.
Great questions, there are 2 ways to design a dynamic page. One is using one of Wix templates under dynamic pages, it will create the CMS or collection and automatically the dynamic pages, then you can adjust it , second and better option is to create thr CMS or collection using all the fields you need, then on the CMS settings create a blank dynamic page, you can then add elements and connect them to the dataset that will be already available, if you like let's connect over zoom, I can give you a crash course for free

This video is awesome! you are a great teacher. QUESTION... So using your example. If you only wanted to show 12 cities. but the dynamic form was for users to add a review of that city. how would you structure this? because in this case you would have loads of duplicate pages about New York - where really all you want is one page about new york and then to show user reviews in the new york page. Do you have a video for this use case?
The ideal is to have another collection just for reviews and use a reference, that way people can post multiple reviews on a single item but you will need to set the right elements too

Great video thank you... Question. is it possible to make dynamic information in a data set? example a product has a price and it also has options and when options is selected the price of that option plus the price of the product get added? Hopefully I am making sense.

It requires a little bit of code i will create something where you can give an error or a message saying they already submitted

Thank you for going slow 🐌 ... lol . I have a question. Hopefully, you can answer. Can this application be used as a product page to show a picture of a product that has the option to be customized. With the color , name , number, and sponsor. Before they purchase the product ? And that information be sent with the purchase ? So just pretend that instead of a city in your thumbnail, it was an Accessory that had spots for name , number and sponsor . And color . On the form . And the customer fild in the information into the options on the form next to the image . And purchased it when it was submitted. Is that possible?

@wixepicsolutions I don't know what zoom is . I tried logging into your site, and it won't recognize me . I have been helping my friend build a website to sell custom 3d printed parts that can be personalized. But ran into issues when it came to the store or product page we are calling it . We have a chest protector I designed, and he printed. It's for a promoto mx . It's a RC dirt bike with rider . We want to put the customers' names and number on the back and choose the color of the filament It's printed with . But the wix store doesn't offer that type of form . That I can find . I'm 65 years old and getting frustrated lol . I have watched many many hours of videos trying to learn how to do this one thing . But it's an important part of the site. how do we allow member author to delete or edit their photos?
Under the collection settings you can change the author to have the ability to it . Then using a little bit of code and some repeaters you can add a page or section using a button to delete single image in the gallery or if is a thumbnail just have the option to upload image again, if is confusing send me a message here vitzael.com
Can you please provide the code to do the exact same thing but when an option is clicked on from a drop down list certain fields expand and appear?

Hey, how do we make pages which are not linked to each other using dynamic pages? Like in a portfolio, all pages will be different, as the content available on each project is different. Please help!
You could create different styles and use a filter on the dataset set to display specific content. Send me a message here vitzael.com i will help you

To use it as the page to show all items this is if you added 2 usually will add both with title and this normally happens because the primary normally is title inside the collection. This is not necessary if you only have one single collection. If you are confused i would explain it better in a video, send me a message here vitzael.com

This is awesome for only writing content, but i also need to understand how modifying the content with a form works. I dont quite understand how it determines where to modify the data based on the form submission content.
So there are 3 ways you can do this, directly from the database, setting the form with a dataset as read and write or creating the form to write only and another with a dataset on read and write so depending on your skills, you can watch the video advance real estate website and skip until the part where i created both so you can see or send me a message I can give you a quick guide, vitzael.com

Hi! Thank you for the valuable information you've shared on your channel! I'm wondering if i could pick your brain? I have a form page that I'd like to make dynamic, allowing multiple pages to look the same without duplicating them. Each customer should have their own dynamic page to upload a photo and fill out the form, and each page must have a special URL. I've managed to implement this successfully with code and data sets, so the uploading and saving of photo is not a problem.
However, due to Wix's 100-page limit.I believe dynamic pages are a better solution. The challenge I'm facing is generating different URLs for each dynamic page, as they seem to change dynamically.
I'm unsure if dynamic pages are the right approach or if you have any alternative suggestions. Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

The option for my second dynamic page name does not come up in the "click action connects to..." area inside the "connect to CMS" button. I cannot progress past here. please help :)

Yes, you need to use permissions on collection and use the dataset filter let me know if you need help
@@wixepicsolutions Thanks! I actually meant like only displaying collection items added by a single user and not everyone else. So kind of like a personal list of items added and that's it. It works now though :) I restricted access to the form page to members only, changed the "can view content" permission to site member author and added the members area.! Yes, it is possible. You will just need to add the button and then connect it to an item inside your collection where you can have multiple u. R else or you can just have the button connected directly to an external link if it doesn't change at all

Whats the difference btw a regular page and a dynamic page. I can still link the content manager to a gallery on a regular page. So whats the advantage of using a dynamic page?
Great question you can still use a static page with elements connected to the collection / cms but the main differences is when you have lots of content so rather than you having to design a new static page or duplicate, you will only add it to the collection and it will give you its own url, so it can save a lot of time, also wix has a limit of 100 static pages so using dynamic pages can avoid reaching that and also the speed of loading the site. hope this helps.
@wixepicsolutions thanks for your swift response. I'm making a portfolio with each page being a different discipline for eg. Painting, Ceramics, Animation etc. Do u think it's ok to use a static page and connect it to cm? The maximum no. of images I'll have per page would be 20. Not sure if dynamic pages would be best. It kind of confuses me too lol.

Yes it is possible using reference collections. Just have your main collection and add the field reference and then select which collection, if you have more questions let me know.
