      ^I think he meant a trans am clone with a flowmaster muffler. It’s pretty popular (although I think it’s dumb) to put trans am trim and badges and tail lights on a base or SE firebird. I would assume it was an SE because it sounds exactly like me SE with a 305 and the same muffler.

      @@bricebabcock7156 It's not cloned correctly. Still has the Firebird spoiler on the rear. The WS-6 GTA has a wrap around rear spoiler. I have two of them. An 87 and a 90. Also, the two far end taillights are not working and it's a bitch changing them! Whenever I have one burn out, I change them all while I have all the panels removed. Terrible design!! Love the cars though!

      That's awesome I'd definitely buy it. I also have the choice to get one. 1988 Trans Am 5.0 F.I. LB9 with 60k original miles. Rust is almost non-existent, and the only thing wrong with it is a rod knock. Original wheels, paint, everything. Theyre super nice cars.

    Hi ! i have a tech question, Please :
    i have also a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am.
    But, on mine, i think i got a problem = the gear shift console (automatic transmission selector) do not show the gear which is engaged (for exemple by a red or fluorescent needle/arrow, or an extra back-highlight).
    On your Firebird, do you have such a factory system that show wich gear is actually selected ?
    Thanks by advance for your answer.

      @utooberblooper Před 6 lety

      remove the console and look at what is broken,buy the replacement parts and fix the issue.

      Got an 88 trans am, there is not an indicator, the 91-92 cars had indicators, but not ours. It's more of a reference than an indicator

      @@thefirebirdflock3440 Yeah, and probably picked to pieces. Probably couldn't find one that would be worth the investment to bring it back to a nice streetable condition. I have an 87 GTA that I bought from the original owner 22yrs ago with 23K miles on it. It's a hardtop 5.7 TPI, 700R-4 and a Borg Warner 3.73 posi rear end. White with tan interior, looks like the 20th anniversary Turbo. Been garage kept and still like new, all the way down to the weather stripping. I have a set of gold GTA wheels in a 17×9 that I bought from Hawks Motor Sports. They're made by Japanese Wheel Alloys, the same manufacturer who made the original ones. They have the wide lip front and rear, and really stands out from the rest! A lot of people think I'm running 4 front's, I tell them to look a little closer. Tire size, 275/40 ZR 17, front and rear. I'm about to put an LS and a T-56 manual in it. Then, I will have the ultimate driving machine!!

      Kevin G Eh, give it some slack. It’s 1980s GM, they were built pretty cheap. Plus it’s just the starter, not hard to replace.

      Swiss Comment Gamer Es ist ein 88er, aber wenn du unter amerikanischen Videos ne Antwort willst ist Deutsch nicht die erste Wahl. Schade dass die Kisten bei uns wegen Import etc so überteuert sind ( und Sprit ... =( )

      82er - 84er waren im Knight Rider Look, natürlich nicht mit der KITT Front, aber ansonsten aussen identisch. Später gabs für den Trans Am die Rückleuchten die man hier in diesem Video sieht. Die 'Ground Effects die um den ganzen Wagen rum gehen gabs optional schon ab 84. Und dann gab es natürlich noch x andere Optionen bzw. Kombinationsmöglichkeiten, da die Amis alle 1 bis 2 Jahre was neues wollten / wollen.
