Their decision to join the EU club was just too late because now Russia has had time to build up its army to deter that from happening. The palce where ukrainians stored western weapons was bombed. The mall was adjacent to that palce so felt the powerful blast too and later fire spread from there to the mall.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. Sweden and Finland are rich countries while Ukraine is poor nation if become NATO easy for US to put their nuclear missiles in Ukraine in exchange of economic package or aids even if its against Ukranian will to avoid become the first country to be hit by nuclear weapons in nuclear war. The mall wasnt hit by a missile. The railroad tracks and the car manufacturing facility in front of it was. Whose stupid idea was it to put military equipment and ammunition in the middle of a civilian area...AGAIN. These are valid military targets and by doing so they endanger the lives of several dozen civilians. The mall was indeed empty as I checked the reviews on it on Google maps and its stores and the most recent ones are from 4-5 months ago

The real question is why does Ukraine keep placing weapons near civilian buildings knowing that weapons caches and factories are legitimate military targets.

@@oldbloke135Atrocity depends on whether the mall was targeted in order to kill civilians. The footage seems to indicate that at least one of the missiles went off target. Both sides are killing civilians. In most cases, these are probably not intended to target civilians.

That's first of all. Second of all, there are no videos showing the mall get hit. But I do know the video you are talking about. If you look at the satellite images, you can clearly see that the building that was hit was the one that russia said they hit, which was the auto military factory that was storing western military aid

Who said that they did nothing? They have been training the Ukrainians for 8 years, and arming them. In 4 months, the Ukrainians have decimated the RF army, no trained manpower left, running out of hardware to fire the dumb munition stockpile left from the USSR. If none of the hardware and manpower gets back to Russia from Ukraine, 60% of Russian land force is gone.

Sooo, Ukrainians get a free pass for storing American/British weapons right in the center of the city, next to a shopping mall, KNOWING full well that this is a hot target for Russians.. did they really expect Russians not to do anything about it? We see that all the time, when malls or even schools are used for military storage, in hopes that Russians won’t target these locations. Few months and years ago Kiev said, they would keep their word for the Minsk Agreements. They seemed not do keep their words. So what are you trying to say here? Nobody wanted an invasion, as this guys said, there might have not been a different option for them, in their view. It is not always just about your view, but also on the other side. That is why open discussion and communication is important - so are actions to show good will. Russia seems to have gotten more negative or unbelievable signals, thats why they had to act, what they thought was right. I do not have to agree with them, but i can see that it is not always pure evil or bad will. There are reasons - the problem in the west is: we do not care about anybody else then us and our interests. And we are always the good guys. Btw, that is always the case in war.
