第一次吃到法式长棍面包（baguette) 是在静安宾馆面包房，那还是在80年代，要排队两小时。特别好吃。以后几十年再没有吃到这么好吃的面包了。好像现在还在，JingAn Bakery，不知道现在的味道怎么样。

I really liked the bakeries in Shanghai, but I never know if they are authentic or not cuz I can't really tell the difference. Even I visited France, I can't tell the differences of the baguette or croissant of different bakeries, or them compared to those in SH
We basically base it off of flavor and texture. If it’s above 3 stars it’s more authentic in our opinion. But we aren’t professionals. Lol. Just our opinion.
I would say that those baguettes are a little bit expressive than those in the France, you might wanna ask them how long the fermentation was next time, usually many bakeries in the France that have their dough fermented for 2days rather than overnight fermentation.
Yeah, they aren't all "authentic" but we take what we can get. =) The 4 star one was definitely fermented longest.

wonder if the breads are factory or local baked overnight. and shelf time of the breads will have an impact on the taste and texture..
I think the places we reviewed all bake in house. but i'm not 100% on that.
hope "la boulangerie" would appear on the next episod , the baugette there is absolutely the best in shanghai in my opinion

Sounds awkward. You don't know why there are no homeless, even developed countries have homeless people, why in a developing country doesn't have? Think about it. 😅

There are bums (mentally ill and lost) in China. The police will take them home. .
Chinese people own real estate. Up to more than 90%. kinship culture. In this way, the possibility of wandering basically does not exist.

@@realchenlucky Because in China an employer matched housing fund is a universal basic benefit and China sends those addicted to hard drugs to rehab to get better instead of leaving them to be homeless. China does a lot of things better than so called "developed" countries.
