I love the toasted cinnamon blush but I do agree it probably looks way better for medium- deeper skin tones. I think you would like the more peachy one though. I want the urban decay born to run palette but the elements one is also very pretty. The gloss bombs look pretty but I also think the persona ones are really pretty!

I am a fan of the gloss bomb (it's actually in my project pan as well), but I agree, it's a heavy formula and you have to go way light with it. It definitely doesn't beat my favorite gloss from thrive causmetics!
I think that the reason why the toasted cinnamon blush from Burt's Bees clashes with you is because the golden/yellow-ish tone of your hair colour. It makes the blush application even more yellow. If you had either a darker, more neutral toned hair (which Kathleen has, and why she swears by it), it'll look good!
I have the Born to Run palette - one of my very few more expensive palettes - and I find that I don’t reach for it often. Not enough mattes, I think, and some of the brighter colors are not ones that I can figure out how to use as a less experienced makeup user. Can’t wait for part 2!
I would LOVE to see a vid of cult fave products worth the the money! As far as glosses go I think I tend to like thicker formulas like the Nyx glosses so I think that’s why I like the fenty one - it lasts a long time too.
The UD pallet isn’t something I would buy for myself, but I bought it for my mom! She likes color that isn’t super “poppy” so it’s perfect for her! If I had it I think I would use it, but for people who love bright colors, it isn’t the best choice. Love this video! ❤️
I'm with you about overly pigmented blush. I'd much rather build it up than have to be super careful applying it. My biggest offender is the Sigma Pink blush. 🤣💔

I really love the Born to Run palette because I love that I can go colourful without being too bold so the lack of colourful mattes is OK with me. I have Dim Light and Radiant Light in the Ambient Powders and I use them as subtle highlighters since my skin is darker and the glowy powders can actually be seen...
I've tried the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in Ethereal, Luminous, Dim, Radiant, and Mood. With my very porcelain complexion, Mood works as a blush, it looks stupid all over my face. Dim is too dark and didn't blur anything. Radiant works well as a bronzer. Ethereal is the perfect under eye powder for me! It brightens and blurs beautifully. Luminous is the perfect finishing powder for the rest of my face- after blush, highlighter, bronzer, I swirl a little Luminous on top to blend everything together. Adds a nice glow without looking unnatural. Only two I'd repurchase are Ethereal and Luminous.
I LOVE your lavender eyeshadow look. This is my favorite color. I love to try purple toned eyeshadows. I also love how blues and greens look on my eyes as well. Kelly, your awesome! Your my favorite youtuber.

I have used all of the Hourglass powders and hit pan on all of them. They did nothing, but they are beautiful--if that make sense. I was drooling over the Hourglass blushes for months and finally bought a peachy one and I don't love as much as my favorite TooFaced heart shaped trio blushes, and the Too Face single heart shape blushes, and my Laura Gellar baked blushes. I love the TF so much as they last all day, more so than the Tarte blushes, which I decluttered. I have back up of the TF trio and love them so much! Best blush ever. Also, you can use the Burt's Bees as a contour/bronzer instead of a blush.
I liked the born to run palette when I first got it but since then I rarely use it. It’s heavy and hurts my wrist to hold it. The darker mattes don’t blend the best and there’s not enough mattes to create an array of looks that I’d want. My Hourglass powders are my everything !! They’re so versatile for me.
Yes do a part 2 please!! I have the Born to Run palette I actually won it in a boxycharm contest on instagram! I do think it needs more matte shades but I love the packaging!
I am very fair and love toasted cinnamon blush. But I use it as a Bronzer with a very large fluffy brush :) and I use the peach one and pink one as blushes and they sit so nicely on my dry skin and last all day :) the peach one is not as pigmented as the other 2.
Nicole Vigo I agree! I loveeee the peach one for on the daily, and alternate between cinnamon. I love that it’s not overly pigmented so I can build it to my likening. I decluttered Shy Pink because it was too bright for me, and I’m a light-medium/tan olive skin tone.
Hahaha! I just bought one too ;) But I actually like it. I just haven’t used it much yet to have a well-rounded opinion. But I do have the Elements palette and I love that one!
I didn’t like gloss bomb at first either but now I must admit it is truly an amazing gloss. I was dossapointed by the pigmentation more than the formula, fussy is basically clear on me
100% agree with you about the Gloss Bomb vs. Becca glosses! I tried the Fenty ones at Sephora a few times and also thought they were goopy, whereas the Becca ones are so easy! However, I just got the Born to Run palette (on sale--I was not going to pay full price!) and because I usually just do simple eye shadow looks, this functions as the "big" palette in my very curated collection. I'm also a fan of Bruce Springsteen so definitely got caught up in the name...we'll see how I feel in a few months!
Really enjoyed this video. I have the fenty gloss bombs and hourglasses ambient powders and really love them. I wasn’t sure the ambient powders were doing anything either so I would do just half my face and I could tell a subtle difference so they aren’t dramatic but I do enjoy them. I’m almost 48 and every little bit of blur or diffusion helps! 😂
Love this type of video! it's always refreshing to hear unpopular opinions haha. I don't own the born to run palette but I've obviously heard a lot about it. I feel like I've tried convincing myself it's a nice palette because of the hype but no matter how much I look at it, I think it's just not one that I would reach for over my other palettes!
I'm not a lip gloss girl, but I really like the Fenty Gloss Bomb! ❤️ The Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Diffused Light is a HG! I use it as finishing powder to blend everything together and it looks amazing! Also my full size compacted has lasted me for more than two years and I have still left a decent amount. Makeup though doesn't work the same way on everyone, that's why there's such a variety of products. I've been extremely disappointed but many hyped makeup products.
Omg I agree, the gloss bomb is way too goopy but everyone loves it so I'm scared that that's the standard of glosses now-a-days so I haven't bought any since lol. Might have to try your alternatives! I hope you had a great weekend :)
Kelly, I have the pink Burt’s bees blush (I want to say it’s called shy pink) and I’m super fair. I feel like it’s realitively sheer in comparison to the essence satin touch blushes or the elf primer blushes, and I like how it looks on me. I think you lean tanner than me so I think it wouldn’t be clownish on you.

Do you set the hourglass with spray? That’s when the shine really shows, I buff it in after setting, and love the luminous glow! Try the bronzers, you’ll like them better! The nude bronze is for extremely fair skin, be warned.
The Hourglass powders are really nice for blending out other complexion products, but I mainly use it on clients to really give them a blended look. I do think they were overhyped for awhile!
My friend has the BTR palette & hates it for the lack of pigment. I bought the Ccolor Around the World one & love it. Way better pigment. Totally agree with you on the Hourglass though. Couldn’t wait till I finally finished it.
Take a teaspoon of honey mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon by mouth three times a day until you feel better. I saw this tip posted on FB years ago and it *works!* It stops the cold from getting worse. Get well soon! ❤️ Also, I've never tried Burt's Bees Blush, but I did try their powder foundation and it was awful! It went on very patchy and uneven and was difficult to blend. I don't recommend it at all! By the way, I love your eye shadow! ❤️
I like the Hourglass powder (I also have a mini; I think it’s Diffused Light but I can’t quite remember) but I get the same effect from the powders in my Elf Illuminating palette, and I think I actually prefer the Elf.

Perversion is my HG but I have pretty long lashes to begin with. I rarely apply more than one coat of any brand. Couldn't get the BTR shadows to stick to my eye. I've never had that problem with any shadow.
I prefer the UD elements to the born to run! The quality just feels better and the colour story just seems to make slightly more sense to me. I purchased the hourglass powder trio palette a few years ago and its barely used - just can’t seem to get them to work for me but can’t bare to declutter it x
I have the toasted cinnamon too that I cannot make use on my fair skin tone.. the formula and consistency is actually nice... I am trying to use it as one shadow look on my eyes. And it actually looks good..the ingredients is mostly natural so I found it pretty safe to use on eyes 👀 💙
I liked the first sample of Perversion that I had. I even recommended it to you when you asked if you should buy it during an Ulta sale. The second tube I had was terrible, though. It made such a mess under my eyes by the end of the day. I have one more, and I'm hoping it's more like first one. The sound the Fenti gloss made when you took the wand out said so much. 😝
Definitely do a part 2! I agree with you on the UD perversion mascara. I got a mini as a sample or point perk and I just don’t love it- I don’t hate it but it just doesn’t do enough for the price tag. I actually really like the hourglass diffused and dim light. I use them as a finishing powder or to set concealer. I also really like the gloss bomb-I think if I had to get rid of most of glosses I’d be happy with Fenty, Marc Jacobs, and ABH! I always find it interesting to see how different people feel about the same products 😊💜
I always wondered how Kathleen Lights pulled off the burts bees blush. I am way tanner than her more medium-tan in foundation, so I kinda want to try it haha I have to agree, I own the elements palette and I love it. I used it today! (I went to go see Aladdin!)
Never tried the gloss balm. I'm a big gloss lover the so juicy from cp is kinda like that. Also the glossier balm dot com in rose does that and it gets in my mouth too. Love the purple eyes. Hope you feel better..

The perversion mascara is my #1 fave! I get tons of length, volume and build with it! I will say it gets better over time the more you use it. I think it starts to dry a bit after several uses.
Omg Kelly I agree with everything you say. I have everything except the born to run and nothing against Kathleen but she sold me a too dark expensive bronzer too which is obviously to her taste or technique. The hourglass powder does nothing for my mature skin either. I’m new to your channel, looking forward to more info like this.
I got the Burt’s bees blush because of Kathleen too! And I’m a shade paler than you lol. I can get it to work for me if I use a stippling brush and I am wearing one of my foundations that is too pale for me. It really helps bring life back to my face! (Since it’s almost a bronzer ha) Other than that, I have a hard time using it.
Yes! I’m also not that keen on Born to Run, I was really dissapointed in pigmentation and performance, I decluttered this like a month after getting it.
I feel like the catrice foundation wasn’t worth the hype for me! It’s a nice foundation & I still own and use it, but it’s not what I was expecting with all the hype! Funny how different products work for different people, I love gloss bomb & the born to run palette x
I totally agree with the gloss bomb... texture is gloopy, & although it looks nice when I put it on, it’s gone after such a short time, it just doesn’t seem worth the hassle!

Great video idea👍 I have the Hourglass Powders in diffused and luminous light. Diffused light gives me a great airbrushed and glowy finish. Luminous light is the same but has some tiny glitters and gives a more glowy effect. I adore them😉
As someone who is a matte lip lover and only wears gloss once in a while, out of all the glosses I've tried, Gloss Bomb is definitely the only one I can tolerate. And Toasted Cinnamon is a love of mine 😩 but to be fair I do have deeper tan skin 100% agree on the Born to Run, Perversion mascara and Ambient Lighting powders though Yes to part 2!
OMG! I was disappointed by the Fenty lip gloss too. I like the formula and think it really hydrates my lips, BUT I don’t think it looks like anything special and doesn’t last. I thought I was the only one who didn’t get it...

I have the same problem with toasted cinnamon blush. I bought it because of Kathleen Lights and already in the store had a feeling I’m not gonna use it. Even in the summer when I get pretty tan and dark I can’t use it as a blush, cause it looks like I put bronzer all over my cheeks.
I love the fenty gloss bomb. I HATE lipgloss in general and when I tried that, I was like yaaaaaaaaaaas!!! But I have nothing much to compare it to I guess 🤷🏼♀️

Also I totally agree about the perversion mascara! My main problem was that it was too wet and it immediately clumped my lashes together!

I love the Burts Bees blush in Shy Pink and used it for my wedding. It's pigmented, but I'm no expert and was able to put on what I needed

The Hourglass powders are really nice for blending out other complexion products, but I mainly use it on clients to really give them a blended look. I do think they were overhyped for awhile!

My friend has the BTR palette & hates it for the lack of pigment. I bought the Ccolor Around the World one & love it. Way better pigment. Totally agree with you on the Hourglass though. Couldn’t wait till I finally finished it.
Take a teaspoon of honey mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon by mouth three times a day until you feel better. I saw this tip posted on FB years ago and it *works!* It stops the cold from getting worse. Get well soon! ❤️
Also, I've never tried Burt's Bees Blush, but I did try their powder foundation and it was awful! It went on very patchy and uneven and was difficult to blend. I don't recommend it at all!

I like the Hourglass powder (I also have a mini; I think it’s Diffused Light but I can’t quite remember) but I get the same effect from the powders in my Elf Illuminating palette, and I think I actually prefer the Elf.
do you have anything like those hourglass Ambien powder type? or what you expected it to be? like filtering, glowing type? anyone? i need something like that

Perversion is my HG but I have pretty long lashes to begin with. I rarely apply more than one coat of any brand. Couldn't get the BTR shadows to stick to my eye. I've never had that problem with any shadow.

Try Bare Peach from Burt’s Bees. It’s like Toasted Cinnamon for lighter skin! I love it for a peach in my collection!
I prefer the UD elements to the born to run! The quality just feels better and the colour story just seems to make slightly more sense to me. I purchased the hourglass powder trio palette a few years ago and its barely used - just can’t seem to get them to work for me but can’t bare to declutter it x
I have hourglass dim light and i think it works beautifully but my skin is older and I'm not sure it'd be worth it if i still had 20s skin!

I have the toasted cinnamon too that I cannot make use on my fair skin tone.. the formula and consistency is actually nice... I am trying to use it as one shadow look on my eyes. And it actually looks good..the ingredients is mostly natural so I found it pretty safe to use on eyes 👀 💙
I liked the first sample of Perversion that I had. I even recommended it to you when you asked if you should buy it during an Ulta sale. The second tube I had was terrible, though. It made such a mess under my eyes by the end of the day. I have one more, and I'm hoping it's more like first one. The sound the Fenti gloss made when you took the wand out said so much. 😝
Really love my Born to Run. The Elements palette was not available to us, otherwise would have gotten it. And love the Perversion as well.
Definitely do a part 2! I agree with you on the UD perversion mascara. I got a mini as a sample or point perk and I just don’t love it- I don’t hate it but it just doesn’t do enough for the price tag. I actually really like the hourglass diffused and dim light. I use them as a finishing powder or to set concealer. I also really like the gloss bomb-I think if I had to get rid of most of glosses I’d be happy with Fenty, Marc Jacobs, and ABH! I always find it interesting to see how different people feel about the same products 😊💜
I always wondered how Kathleen Lights pulled off the burts bees blush. I am way tanner than her more medium-tan in foundation, so I kinda want to try it haha

Never tried the gloss balm. I'm a big gloss lover the so juicy from cp is kinda like that. Also the glossier balm dot com in rose does that and it gets in my mouth too. Love the purple eyes. Hope you feel better..

The perversion mascara is my #1 fave! I get tons of length, volume and build with it! I will say it gets better over time the more you use it. I think it starts to dry a bit after several uses.
Omg Kelly I agree with everything you say. I have everything except the born to run and nothing against Kathleen but she sold me a too dark expensive bronzer too which is obviously to her taste or technique. The hourglass powder does nothing for my mature skin either. I’m new to your channel, looking forward to more info like this.

I got the Burt’s bees blush because of Kathleen too! And I’m a shade paler than you lol. I can get it to work for me if I use a stippling brush and I am wearing one of my foundations that is too pale for me. It really helps bring life back to my face! (Since it’s almost a bronzer ha) Other than that, I have a hard time using it.
Yes! I’m also not that keen on Born to Run, I was really dissapointed in pigmentation and performance, I decluttered this like a month after getting it.
I feel like the catrice foundation wasn’t worth the hype for me! It’s a nice foundation & I still own and use it, but it’s not what I was expecting with all the hype! Funny how different products work for different people, I love gloss bomb & the born to run palette x
I totally agree with the gloss bomb... texture is gloopy, & although it looks nice when I put it on, it’s gone after such a short time, it just doesn’t seem worth the hassle!
It’s crazy to think how different people’s makeup preferences are for example many things I agree with you but a lot I disagree. I thing the urban decay born to run is my favorite palette from urban decay. I feel so inspired by that palette
Great video idea👍 I have the Hourglass Powders in diffused and luminous light. Diffused light gives me a great airbrushed and glowy finish. Luminous light is the same but has some tiny glitters and gives a more glowy effect. I adore them😉
As someone who is a matte lip lover and only wears gloss once in a while, out of all the glosses I've tried, Gloss Bomb is definitely the only one I can tolerate.
And Toasted Cinnamon is a love of mine 😩 but to be fair I do have deeper tan skin

OMG! I was disappointed by the Fenty lip gloss too. I like the formula and think it really hydrates my lips, BUT I don’t think it looks like anything special and doesn’t last. I thought I was the only one who didn’t get it...

Haha I just bought the Born to Run palette. So far seems okay but I'm not super into bright colors so I think it'll work for me. I also dislike the gloss bomb but mostly because I feel like I smear it all over my face with the giant doe foot. Yes to a part 2!
The peach and pink shades from Burt’s bees are extremely wearable for pale skin tones! You should try them.
The perversion mascara doesn’t build, you’re right. It lifts and separates nicely but very little volume and it transfers like crazy.

I have the same problem with toasted cinnamon blush. I bought it because of Kathleen Lights and already in the store had a feeling I’m not gonna use it. Even in the summer when I get pretty tan and dark I can’t use it as a blush, cause it looks like I put bronzer all over my cheeks.

I love the fenty gloss bomb. I HATE lipgloss in general and when I tried that, I was like yaaaaaaaaaaas!!! But I have nothing much to compare it to I guess 🤷🏼♀️
