  • Proprioception, balance, and controls are important elements of sports performance and injury prevention. In this quick video, Jason discusses 5 options to help target this ability.
Proprioception is the ability for your body to assess the position of your joints and muscles as your body moves and interacts with the world around you. Your brain assesses information from small receptors located within joint capsules, ligaments, and muscles to assess to create corrective movements and maintain balance.
When you suffer injuries such as ankle or knee sprains this proprioceptive feedback loop can be damaged. However, studies have shown that with correct rehabilitation you can retrain and repair these abilities.
