A Very good report, considering they didn't make it easy for you.
I don't know why some manufacturers, seem to go out of they're way to make it difficult for you guys. More people are going to see the boat via your report then at a boat show.
True but you’d be pretty hacked off if you’d come to a show with a tonne of money burning a hole in your pocket only to be told you can’t get on the boat as there’s some low life journo shooting a home movie onboard 😁!

I think I would be pretty hacked off when I woke up the next day and there was a ragged row of holes in that very expensive wrap where the fender lines rubbed through on that hull style line. And I would be even more annoyed when I woke up the next week to see a matching set of gashes in the teak cap rail that just took a little while longer to show up.
Custom designed fenders, with custom storage cubbies, but just tie them to a handrail and let them chafe away ? Modern yacht design at its finest.

If this had an outboard engines, it would have more room for everything else, and it is also easier to maintain the outboards.

Would have been easier but can’t expect them to kick everyone off at short notice and on this occasion I didn’t have the option of waiting for a quieter moment. Some quieter, more exclusive tours and sea trials to come in the days ahead
Why is this just a day boat? Why couldn't you spend a month on this thing?
You could but most people who intend to do that would buy a boat with much more inside space, protection, range etc

Looks very nice. Not 1.3 million nice, but nice. Surprised you didn't start throwing elbows and just throw out your best Piker accent and tell the lot of them 'Oy...iffya not be wantin' a head bashin', yer best be movin outta me freaking way!' Then you roll the sleeves up and let them know you're ready. It ain't the first time Hugo has cleaned every person off the decks of a boat. Be it with MP5, Benelli M4, H&K MP7 or a Sig P226 and his fists he will get you off and get the shot. And ya best not be gettin in his way! Lol. j/k

@@hugoandreae3785 Hahaha anytime. I'd love to get back on yachts. Going through a nasty divorce from a very nasty woman who did some very nasty things to me and our kids. So going to a boat show and providing personal security for the great Hugo would be an honor. I live in Florida so either FLIBS or PBIBS would be the ideal setting. Of course MB&Y would need to cover some hotel and food expenses. Personal security requires minimal payment. I'd love to cover it all myself, but again..nasty divorce. Got 4 kids and I'm on disability and she gives me and the kids she abandoned the lowest amount possible. Her own kids. Anyway, story for another time. I got some great sea stories from being a deckhand for 5 years. Plus I'm entertaining as all can be. You might be laughing so much, it will be hard to film. It is Florida too, so the people we meet I can dazzle them brilliance and if that fails, riddle them with bullets! We'll see them Nautistyles and that Nick (Aquaholic) and we'll get the jump on whatever yachts they're filming, and film it first and put it out. Right from the yacht, no editing at all, one take. It'll be brilliant and maybe horrible. But we'll be first!!

I suspect some of them were Fjord dealers from around the world. They all tend to flock to Cannes to show their new models to prospective customers from their own home markets
A very rich persons toy. Where would the normal sailor/ boater keep it. Outside my small house in the city? At a marina and book an hotel for myself and my guests for a weekend. Please show us proper boats for proper people. Some more second user examples would be good of boats we could all consider.

Surely Motor boat and yachting can do better than looking over someone else's shoulder to see a boat. How about have a conversation with someone to get a quieter slot??
The primary role of boat shows is to sell boats so they won’t clear the boat during the day and we’re usually busy sea trialling boats during the morning and evening slots so we sometimes have to grab what we can when we can or miss out on a boat entirely.

Had to attend a breakfast press conference that morning and was flying back in the afternoon so had to grab what I could when I could!
