My professor used to say, it takes a brilliant person to keep everything simple. This is one of best and simple to follow instructional videos I ever came across. Very useful for a rookie like me. Thank you!
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. czcams.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Very good video. I just purchased this kit and your installation instructions were very very helpful. I didn't know that the bar was there to gain support from your leg. Make sense.
Anyone looking at this May want to look into the Echo pas “pro attachment series” it has a bunch of different attachments that can be very simply swapped out so you can use different tool without losing the other. I’m sure this gentleman sells them. Mine is the PAS 225. It’s good for home use and has all the basic attachments. Highly recommended.
One thing that you have to do on a echo 2620T is install the green spacer or washer. That's the first thing you have to do before you put on the head unit / adapter kit
Thanks for this video. I installed the forester 9" chainsaw blade and I'm getting a ton of vibration in the trimmer shaft. Any guidance is sincerely appreciated.
And don't forget to put part "Z" on it's called the shaft collar, so it can spin freely when only using part "Y" witch is called the short-necked upper fixing plate for the 42mm shaft. thanks again for the video!
When I tighten the nut on the blade, it doesn’t spin freely. Then if I loosen it a bit it will spin but it feels like the nut will just fall off easily
@@jasonwatson8350 If I remember correctly I was using the wrong piece under the blade. The blade hole wasn’t fitting snugly around the metal part. Use the new one in the kit. Hope that helps .
Thanks for the video...exactly what I was looking for. The Echo instructions leave a lot to your imagination. BTW, that barrier bar could potentially be dangerous too IF you're not holding the trimmer correctly sticking you right where you don't want to if you get a kickback right in the 🥜's

When I tighten the blade the blade doesn’t spin
I had to install the extra spacer piece on my 225 or it would not spin.
I’m having the same problem where did you put the two spacers at
When I tighten the nut on the blade, it doesn’t spin freely. Then if I loosen it a bit it will spin but it feels like the nut will just fall off easily
You need a different backing plate from your dealer.
@@lesteroliveintheshop9825 I’m using the same kit and plate as you on an echo srm 225. I’ll have another look in the a.m.
Same problem with a 225, if I tighten the nut it won’t spin

Can it be used without the blade?
