This is a compilation of every modern Sonic stage in the game.

Some general tips for Modern Sonic:
-Boost constantly and don't be afraid to experiment with it, like if you're worried it might cause you to fall, just try it, it can get you through a lot more than you expect
-Homing attack can be a bit dodgy when it comes to detection, so try to wait for a second before hitting the next target, to avoid dying
-The camera angles can make it quite hard to see dangerous objects, so it's best to practice the levels and know what's coming
-Experiment with skills and find which one suits your play-style, no one combo works for everyone, sometimes it's better to be a bit slower but indestructible.
-The S-Rank time requirement are really not hard, so there is absolutely not need to be perfect or even have any rings

Nothing like modern re-making the old stages... Hate to compare, but this is something that I wished for Super Mario All Stars....
I have to agree; re-releasing that game, especially the version WITHOUT Super Mario World, was just inexcusably lazy... and this is Nintendo we're talking about.
At least Super Mario Galaxy 2 was out in time for the 25th anniversary; if anything, they should have made that the 25th anniversary celebration.
No idea why this is in my recommendations in 2019 but I love this game so i don't mind

This is why this is one of the best modern Sonic games; branching paths and mostly 3D traversal. I don’t mind the 2D sections when they are used sparingly, but Colors doubled down on that and Forces was worse. Hopefully they take notes on this game and Spark the Electric Jester on making the new Sonic game.

If the leaks about the 2022 game are true, then we could be seeing stages like this again! I'm cautiously optimistic though, and I'm not sure if I believe the leaks. I just hope the next game is at least solid

I get more enjoyment out of the modern sonic stages but when it comes to getting a time better than your last one they seriously piss of, especially crisis city. Does that make sense?

unleashed's day stages were better in every way because the fucking game wanted me to go fucking fast and i loved it, generations keep taking wind out and it pisses me off, change my mind

@@ohnoitstioc most of it looks like a lot of platforming and stopping/slowing down to me, like half of chemical plant, pretty much all of sky fortress, half of speed highway, city escape is a little better but your still taking your time unlike in the original version of it, seaside hill has always been a little slow, and again half of crisis city, the only one that stays fast like i feel it should be is green hill, that was the only truly fun level for me, and goddamn planet wisp just fucking sucks
@@Oddball_1943 most of the tedious platforming in generations, especially in those stages comes from playing the stages badly and going on the bottom route, so nice admittance of failure i guess
Easiest game ever to get S ranks. Come back when you get an A on all stages in SA2B
