I feel like a company, as big as Nintendo, actually doing this, as in, forcing assets to be removed from sources like gmod, would be the WORST idea a company could EVER do.
The implications that would unfold if it were real would put the company into possible bankruptcy in my eyes, or a full revolt from everyone so they just ignore it and keep using the assets as a sign saying "we dont care we use them anyway"
On a different note, the way this "aaron" did this reminded me of a situation that happened in the past, i dont remember of it was a video or an actual tweet i saw, but it could be this "Aaron" guy is trying to put shade on Nintendo for something

This has been a bad year for Nintendo so far. We lost the Wii U and 3DS online servers, they pulled this, and they've been completely silent about their plans going forward for this year. We STILL haven't had a Nintendo Direct. I'm just not happy with this year for Nintendo.
Nintendo seems to not care about their success. They just want to be spiteful assholes to their fans for no reason.

The Day SMG4 gets screwed over by Nintendo is the day I WON’T be buying ANYTHING related to Nintendo ever again. That would be my last straw for Nintendo. So hopefully this doesn’t get actually confirmed to be Nintendo.

He creates puppets that are very poorly received, does a poll asking if his viewers would stay if he switched to puppets (with about 60% saying no), starts to do a mixture of puppets and plushes, and about 6 months after he created the puppets he just so happened to get a cease and desist from nintendo.
Past that the Cease and Desist they showed also looked sketchy, as if they created it on google Docs and printed it out.

I'm kinda nervous about the Gmod addons for Kirby because there are some CZcamsrs that do Kirby Gmod Videos like ShockHat734 and Mad8Warrior which their Kirby Gmod Videos are really good I just those don't get take down from Steam or in Gmod
If Nintendo does end up striking down CZcamsrs who used the Nintendo addons in their videos, please do a video on it. I need to be aware so I can take down any possible infringing videos I have on my channel. Or like I might just do it anyway but you know.

I've heard that this isn't Nintendo doing this, it's a troll pretending to be Nintendo. I'm really worried about what's gonna happen to Smg4, because I've known them for several years and were apart somewhat of my childhood. If Luke does something to prevent their characters from being deleted, then that's really all that matters. As of now me writing this comment, a kirby gmod youtuber named Shockhat has fortunately downloaded Nintendo's kirby characters, so his channel is saved, so yay. Let's just pray that SMG4 will survive this situation.

There thankfully isn’t too much reason to worry about SMG4, since the original characters from Nintendo have mostly gotten redesigns over the years. The only ones I’d worry about are Mario and Luigi, since they haven’t really gotten any redesigns.
Even then, it was mentioned in the Lawsuit Arc that those 2 fall under a parody contract

Everyone was complaining when they decided to redesign some of the characters to not be using Nintendo's models, but I guess they were right. They still use Mario a lot though. So I hope for them that they downloaded the models.

My real question with all this being real is, if Nintendo was really going through the issue of dmcaing Gmod, why just gmod? There is a lot of mods of LFD2, Rivals, and to a lesser extent, Half Life and TF2 that has Nintendo themed characters and or assets from them. Heck, taking it a step further, why wouldnt they strike pixel artists like me or Jh-Productions for using Super Star Saga and Bowser's inside story assets for sprite animations? I am aware that these sprites arent necessarily made from Nintendo themselves and were made more so from AlphaDream (RIP) but Mario and Luigi are characters from Nintendo and as such would technically full into their court in terms of copyright, no? And to make things more and more confusing (especially since i myself was in this situation before trying to make a new character that could still work in the Mario universe, but not by much like luigi) why doesnt Nintendo go after recolors at this point? Recolors by proxy is using Mario and or Luigi as a base for their characters. And yes, while there are some fine good recolors like SMG4 (Old), Megaman765, and my oc back in the day, there is soooooo many recolors that is just...make mario super saturated in colors, or...make Mario super yellow. It just doesn't make sense to me that Nintendo would give the dmca now at all times, especially homing in to one platform instead of the many, many different sites and places that have Nintendo themed stuff around it.
The think that Aaron peters does more likely not is real name, that was not just trolling that is criminal behavior even if Criminal behavior result in helping Nintendo it is still a criminal behave and does not automaticly excuse criminal behavior even if the reason is stop other criminal behavior. Or it could be someone already in prision that is really boared and does this, so in that case since he his used already to prision he does not care to get is sentence raise for doing more crime inside the prision itself.
