I think this style of music became popular because it sounded so different and futuristic. It kinda resonates with 80s synthpop, and how people thought that sounded futuristic.

I don't really miss my dubstep phase, but it's interesting to see the influence dubstep has had over the years. Overall, shit is much less grimy now, but there's a lot of "edm" and "trap" music going around that probably would qualify as dubstep if the term were still used as often.

This song is definitely ahead of its time. Best dubstep drop ever even after the drop the synths omg perfection! Knife Party added a basil leaf on top when they made this masterpiece of a song. Glad I was able to be part of the golden era of dubstep growing up listening to Skrillex, Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Cookie Monster, Datsik, Excision, Knife Party etc.

Igor Pasche Terrorstep did get old fast but we got some good songs of it (Survivors) but so did the skrillex want to be's back in the day.We've got a shitload of good dubstep coming in by guys like Eptic,501,the whole never say die team,AWE,Fox Stevenson,Tristam,Joker and so much more you just need to look. I can understand getting tired of dubstep but complaining that it was better in the old days is stupid.

***** To each their own but you got to agree to the fact that they don't sound anywhere as good now compared to when Rainman was around. Their production quality imho is way down and it definetly sounds like they're just hiring ghost producers to do all the actual music. I've pretty much cut all my ties to Krewella, since Rainman was pretty much the one that did everything but the vocals.
