Even more than I was when I first heard of the foo fighters who aren't that popular here in Germany. I only new Dave from drumming in nirvana and couln't believe what I saw! A 45year lead singer....crazy how time runs and people develop

You got your numbers all screwed up: Krist' first musical endeavor after Kurt Cobain's death was a band called "Sweet 75" with Mexican Singer Iva Las Vegas around the time that "The color and the shape" came out and in the early 2000's his second musical endeavor was Eyes adrift with Curt Kirkwood of the Meatpuppets. It was only in 2006 that Krist joined Flipper.
Dave said that asking Krist was the first thing he did because of the musical link the two have but Krist declined.

Nope, according to "Back and forth" and Dave's book "This is a call" Kurt had expressed that he wanted another guitar player there because of the bigger sound that band would be getting, Nirvana had been a four piece, two guitar player band prior and he missed that full sound he got. Pat Joined as a legit forth member of the band.
