The BEST explanation of the T8 transmitter functions that I have found on the net, brilliant info thank you 👊
Thank you!!! I have this S1 Heli, its my first heli and I was not sure how all of the switches functioned. The manual doesn't even tell you what the switches actually do.
You are so far the only You Tube video that explains what all of the switches do! Thanks to you, I now know!!!!
Thanks for the feedback, glad I could help!
Thank you very much for doing this video and those explanations of the radio. That helped me a lot. 😊🤝
Glad to hear that!
Thumbs up. More people should care about small helicopters for their natural high endurance of flight time. I modified my 230s to become a FPV helicopter at 249 grams and HD onboard video recording that flips and snaps with 35 minutes of flight time per charge. No quads under 250 grams can ever beat that, not even professionally designed DJI. They either have to change a battery and going over 250 grams, or they have to turn off HD video and turn off FPV and navigation and make the drone fly in a circle at constant speed to get that advertised 35 minutes per charge, and even then, they can't snap or flip.
The great thing in these little helis is that they take crashes so well as you describe it in your video! I do all my new maneuvers with my small OMP M1 Evo's and use them like a simulator in the real world. In most of the cases after a crash over grass you just pick the little bird up and it flies again. And it's fascinating that they are a capable as the bigger ones! Great video! Thanks!
Super useful video. Great job explaining the radio controls, thanks!
Thanks, glad I could help :)
thank you for this video, you explained things perfectly. this man needs way more subscribers
Thanks Bud 👍
Thank you
I fly large helicopters, primarily SAB Krakens, and after owning a Blade 180 "for fun" I pretty much swore off micro helis because it was so bad. A buddy of mine I fly the with got an S1 one and he loves it and swears by it. He loves it so much he bought two and is now willing to sell his second one to me which I think I'll buy because he is an outstanding 3D pilot and I trust his word.
I've never thought much of the Blade helis, they feel very much an intro/budget item compared to Goosky. I also fly larger Heli's inlcuding a Kraken 700 3 Blade, RAW 700 and SAB Maverick.
Thanks so much Mr. Karl. Very well explanation in details about the kit. Best so far
I appreciate your kind comment. I hope to do more relevant content in the near future.
Thank you so much for your very informative vid. Looked high and low to figure out the T8 controls.
Outstanding S1 RTF package review! I just ordered one myself. I have the RTF OMP M1 evo and am excited to be able to make a comparison of the two!
Thanks very much. I used to own an M1 and it was a great little heli. One thing I like about Goosky better than OMP is no requirement to remove the canopy for battery changes.
Nice Review mate!
Thanks!
thanks for the info i just ordered one
You'll love it! Glad this review helped.
@@90TTZ32 i do love it,
Ooh I think I might want one
You won’t regret it!
Really good review Karl.
Thank you :)
Great informative video! Thankyou!
very good explanation!! well done
Glad it helped!
I just absolutely smashed this thing into a pillar, the battery came out and the blades are scratched.
Put the battery back in, the blades were loose but were no problem. Went straight up.
How to configure the T8 control on this helicopter? my t8 can't bind on this goosky S1 model If anyone knows, please send me step by step instructions so I can get him to respond to the control, please?
The procedure is clearly laid out in the manual. Turn on the the transmitter then turn power up the helicopter then press the bind button three times on the helicopter flight controller.

Have you ever needed to change the parameters of the heli using the mobile app...? Or was it good to go out of the box..?
I've got over 80 flights on this now and have not yet touched any of the settings. I'm sure I'll play around with it one day but to answer your question, absolutely fine to fly straight out of the box.
Karl, very good review, have a few quick questions for you though and your inputs would be appreciated-I have only flown helis like Flywing uh1 v3 and 450vl v3 in gps mode for past 6 months, and all I want is scale flying without 3d- and intending to get either s1 or s2.
1. If I get say s1 in rtf, can I use the same transmitter to bind it to the BNF s2 kit to save money?
2. In the Bluetooth app, the settings are default at 50%, can I lower it down even more to say 25% to tame the helis even more?
Yes you certainly can bind the transmitter that comes with the S1 RTF with the S2. I’ve done this with my S2 and it works very well which I also covered in this video. Only limitation is the lack of ability to adjust pitch and throttle curves, but for what you want to achieve the settings in the S1 transmitter will be just fine.
With the Bluetooth tuning you can lower the settings to make the model less or more responsive to your liking, however I found it flies quite well straight out of the box. I still run all 3 of my Goosky Helis with default settings.
Thank you
I got this same RTF kit and the transmitter won’t turn on u less it’s connected to a charger. I let it charge for hours and it shows a full charge but when removed it won’t turn on at all. Any suggestions?
I suspect the battery is defective. Get in touch with the retailer, I’m sure they’ll help you accordingly.
@@90TTZ32 solved: I didn’t take the plastic off of the new battery so the metal ends were not exposed. I feel so silly, you live and you learn I guess
How can you set trim so its not always drifting away how can i get it to hover infront of me without having to hold it in position with the stick
Without any sort of positioning instrument (like a GPS) it's impossible for a modern 3D RC Helicopter to maintain a hovering point without touching the controls. Just like a real helicopter you need to give continous fine inputs to maintain position.
Can i put it into upside down while it is in idle 2 and the 6g mode?
Idle 1 or 2 along with self level mode turned off allows inverted flight (upside down). Not sure what you mean by 6g mode.
I mean the stabilized mode
Will it fly
Oh it flies :)
