  • This is the best strategy to imrove your English by reading that I know so far.
I suggest you read English texts, books, stories or articles using my approach:
At first you read very thoroughly, looking up every word you don't know, checking its pronunciation and other information.
Then continue reading translating words that are important for the plot.
Finally get relaxed, reading without translating anything.

Catch 22 is one of the best books I've read. I freaking love that book. That book expanded my vocabulary a great deal. I highly recommend it.

It's a good idea to close the book when you feel exhausted, "it's not your day" 😂

Cool! I turned on subtitles and understood everything! Но без субтитров сложно. Главное - регулярность, да?

К субтитрам можно привыкнуть, лучше если ничего не понятно посмотреть с сабами и потом на повторе без, уже после разбора непонятных слов, и можно контрольно на следующий день на фоне переслушать еще раз. Да муторно, но работает

What about Robert Greene´s books? What kind of level are those books?

Unfortunately I haven't read any books by Robert Greene. I googled and read a page from "The 48 Laws Of Power" (an interesting book btw). The text, the ideas, the message are very complicated, whereas the vocabulary is almost at the hardest difficulty level. To make it even harder you can only add old-fashioned vocabulary from let's say The Call of Cthulhu.

Maybe it would increase your credibility if your title didn’t have a spelling error.
