I finally pulled the trigger and sat down to do this. I've seen how others have completed converting either no brake or cable pull brake systems on 1987-2002 Yamaha YFS200 Blasters into Hydraulics. Many had fancy CNC brackets or Plasma cutter work. I wanted a rear brake but didn't want to hunt down an expensive used 03-06 Blaster carrier to do a swap and didn't want to get fancier than my skills and tools allowed.
In this video I go through my steps and the parts involved. This is a two part series.
I used an original cable pull Blaster foot peg and 2004 Yamaha Raptor rear brake master cylinder and caliper. I did have to do one weld on the foot peg with a piece of flat stock but this is an easy, basic weld. No fancy fabrication. No expensive carrier swap out. The rest of the conversion was off the shelf from Home Depot. This was about a $100 project.
So far I think this is the easiest conversion I've seen. I do recommend checking out the Blaster Forum www.blasterforum.com/ for tips and tricks and conversation with other Blaster enthusiasts.
Also going to provide this link. I've never used these parts but the rear brake caliper mount looks quite promising. cronetec.com/

Cool video I did the same thing but I used the front brake caliper from a Chinese dirt bike not that it is better I just had it sitting around only bad part is to bleed it I have to take it off the bracket I made and flip it upside-down

Yamaha warrior the plunger rod for the master is really long could get by with that possibly

Ooh, that's interesting. I now run a CTI kit but with a knock off master cylinder. A longer plunger would probably get me really dialed in. Thanks for the note.

What about changing the brake system from a 300EX front hydraulic brakes and just switching that to a blaster

I haven’t tried a 300ex swap. I do have the parts to try a yfz450 swap though that I’m looking forward to.
