  • It's been a while since I updated anything about my model railway, so here is news on my EMU fleet which has been expanded by 2 blue Hornby 2-BIL units. One is a standard Hornby blue unit, the other is a repaint by me using Phoenix paints.
It's amazing what you realise when you video things - one clip shows that I have yet to repaint one side of one coach. It must have slipped off my 'to do' list!

Atmospheric layout with Peco third rail carefully laid. That irritating buzz is reduced if you fit a Hatton's decoder to the 2-bil.

Nice smooth running. Too many people start and stop too suddenly, yours is very authentic. Nice representation of a Southern station, complete with third rail, but do your signals work? That would be the finishing touch, if I may say so.

P0RT3RS1GN4LM4N The Dapol signals did work, but the layout has been moved to a new location and the wiring has suffered!

Hi, why has one coach got one blue side and one green side ?

The reason for that is that I was in the middle of repainting the unit from green to blue and forgot about that when I did the filming! (The last side is till waiting to be repainted, I will get round to it one day, but there is always so much to do when developing a layout.)
