- "I was buzzing, absolutely buzzing," Jack O'Connell says, smiling. Emma Corrin, his co-star in the new Netflix adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover, has just asked how he felt to be cast in the film.
The casting happened, as many things in our post-pandemic lives do, via Zoom.
"We had a couple of lovely Zooms, didn't we?" he recalls. "I thought you were dead cool, back then." The pair laugh, and Corrin adds: "How much can change!"
The pair discuss their experiences working together on the new Netflix adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover in our new series, One on One.

how do two actors experience something like this and not fall in love
I know right but I guess that's why it's called acting
I'd say professionalism
My friends who are professional actors themselves say that when they play love and passion in the movie or theatre, you inevitably start liking your partner you play with. Although professional actors always try to control their emotions for them so they won’t affect their real lives.
She's gay
Such a sexy/lovely film
2 unpretentious actors. So natural in the interview. Brilliant performances for both. So different to American actors. Absolutely love, love this movie
I can see a pair of natural things on Emma
i hope to see Jack keep rising in popularity ever since Skins. He's such an amazing actor
He was great in Unbroken! Angelina I think handpicked him!
Such a beautiful love story and great film. Huge chemistry, amazing acting by both leads, especially by O’Connell. Natural talent
He’s gives off very tom hardy vibes and emma is just a magical fuckin’ thing uff
God I have always been saying that he reminds me so much of a young Tom Hardy
Exactly! I couldn’t stop thinking of Tom Hardy in peaky Blinders
Just finished watching it, wow !!! Chemistry was electric & I found myself bracing myself near the end for a tragedy so big sigh when All Ended Well .
Loved this film.
I love their acting ... Makes me want to have a second part of it. Once the film ended a felt a part of my heart dying... I wish we could know more about Connie and Oliver ...
Part 2 She realised she didn't want to live in an isolated farm. He couldn't really support her well in putting their kid in private school. She missed her beautiful clothes, but no where special to go. So she left him. Just kidding, me too. I didn't want it to end. The last scene could've gone longer
Yep. I was so invested in their love story. I didn't want it to end. Such love...so deep ❤
Incredible the way to transform this role by Emma, absolutely different as she behaves and Jack... what a serious and magnificent man he is, always obssesed with him, I´m amazed with they performances in the film
emma uses they/them pronouns :)
@@romanemartinerie9352 I know. That's the only disappointment. I love her but she is a she. She is not a they, and she will never be a they. No disrespect but people are not going to force me to address them the opposite of their true biological gender just because they want me to or they feel uncomfortable. That is their problem, not society
@@pearlsr1880 if you’re too stupid and dim-witted to make a split second change from her to they, just say that.
@@pearlsr1880it’s not hard to respect their pronouns, even if you don’t understand it. You literally lose nothing from calling them they/them
@@pearlsr1880 You speak like a man over the internet so I’ve decided I’m going to refer to you as he/him. Sorry, that’s the only way I know how to address you. Doesn’t matter what you say you are, I don’t believe you.
This is what you sound like.
Jack o’connell… such great actor😊
These two were crazy in the movie 🔥🔥🔥 organic, raw & sensuous..
one must be extremely disciplined and professional to play the characters they did!
Gorgeous man. I’m obsessed with everything he does xx
he looks particularly yummy as mollers, I love the paperboy look on him so handsome.
Cracking film and brilliantly acted by both. Jack though I must say, is the most underrated actor I’ve ever seen. Loved him since Skins and every film he’s been a part of has been absolutely spot on, such a talent. He makes every character he plays so believable and real
The chemistry of the two of them was similar to all great love story’s on film like the notebook and Atonement. Truly incredible acting
I was studying East Midlands English and Jack O'Connell is the only one who can express it very well. Because he is from Derbyshire. Quite unique. And Emma is a wonderful actress. In this films she shows how far her versatility can go.
I would love to see Jack O’ Connell as James Bond.
Just watched it and it was perfect. Incredible performances from them and did such justice to the soul of the book. Thankyou.
Such brilliant actors. Love this film so much
Totally loved this love story...such natural actors, thank you for your incredible portrayal 💜🌿💜
I think Emma is so underrated and and extremely talented, I love her.
In the movie, i love how they tease each other but at the same always being loving with each other, that little kiss on cheek from Connie when he's sulking..all the little affection details..kudos to all production team👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 part 2 please🙋🏻♀️
0:30 "back then" lol 😂
You both did amazing!! 👏 👏 👏
I’m really glad they found each other at the end of I was at the edge of my sit with my stomach somersaulting and hoping they do and it happened
Just watched film, cried over 4 times, sobbing like a kid, so beautifully made ❤❤❤
"Visceral" and "passion", perfectly described.
Jack is such a great actor, love his accent , and soooo easy on the eye ❤
I love the movie and them
Jack was definitely nervous for this interview. His hands were shaking when he drank the water. My goodness, lol.
bffr no he wasnt
Jack is undeniably amazing and both were outstanding in this film.
I keep thinking "is that Tom Hardy's brother?". Great movie
I love this film
loved the movie 💚
Beautiful movie well done
❤❤🔥Love this film 🎥. Jack o'connell 🤩.
Best movie ever
Can’t believe he was in Godless with a country accent
❤❤ Great film loved it.
It still gives me cook vibes
Did someone forget to switch on the boom mic's?
Emma is so tall!
Anyone know the brand of their vest? I can’t seem to find it…
SS Daley ss23 bunny boy vest
@@feetrust thank you! Now I just wish I could afford it. Sigh.
emma uses they/them pronouns :)
@@romanemartinerie9352 omg I totally spaced on that - thanks! :)
Beautiful ❤😊
I could imagine Jack O'Connell on Marvel movies
Are you serious? Marvel movies? Who would he play? That's an insult to his brilliant talent
@@pearlsr1880 probably Captain Britain or part of Black Knight with Kit Harrington
Only role in that deserves his talent is Wolverine
@@Tonycillian5 more of like sabertooth for me
@@punkressph1 too small to be Sabertooth
jack is the sexiest man alive i swear to god (after my bf that looks literally really alike 😅)
O escolhido de Angelina!
in love
Dioses ,♥️❣️😙♥️❣️😙♥️❣️😙♥️❣️😙♥️❣️
Jack O'Connell! Omg your performance was astonishing!
Would you marry me?😢😢
They look much better in movie.

He looks like Martin Freeman and She looks like Jodie Foster.
Actors in Shakespearian times were often considered no better than prostitutes. Nothing has changed.
Someone needs to say it: Emma, you are beautiful and talented, but this bad fashion thing you have going on looks stupid.
I’m sure Emma would be devastated about some random persons opinion on the internet. Why would they “need” to hear anything from you?
as long as they felt good in it why should it matter?
Hear me out, This was not a love story. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED 😍🫠watching Jack and all the sexy. This was a story about the maid happily taking over ALL the power. It was handed right to her, since the lady of the house was easily distracted. You definitely wouldn't want to marry a girl who abandons her husband because he lost the function of his member, especially when he is ok with her having the game hand and even having his child. She'll easily leave him as well within a couple years. Not enough morals (or attention span)to uphold here. Even her father and sister warned her. I get that her character is very young and Naive. I'm expecting backlash for this opinion, but I'm holding the line. She could have done a lot of good for her people, with her high position but chose to just live distracted and ignorant.
Have you not read the book
This is, like, no sense of context, wtf, at the end of day, yeah like awks. This was a terrible 'Interview' and didn't give me any sense whatsoever of what it was like to film another version of DH Lawrence's old novel or who this new version said anything at all to who it was aimed at.
It's clearly not an interview. They are talking about their experiences on the film. That's why this is called "One on One" not an "an interview with" 🙄🙄
Is there any actual info here? Tell me an actual sentence in the exchange apart from 2 itchy actors saying nothing about an adaptation of an old novel that was alarming in its day but now can be watched by anyone who shouldn't. Although the fil in itself is quite good. Emma is very itchy in this so-called interview, Jack falls back on College Northernisms when they are both far better than this.
Increíble film. Ellos dos son una bomba juntos .hermosa historia y hermosos actores ❤️❤️❤️
Are they both men?
No
@@mrslonglegs Ok ta. I just heard the woman/man? say somewhere that they? liked playing a woman
Exactly 😂🤣😂
@@melissabrown9257
No, Emma identify’s as non binary, which is why they answered the question about playing a female role
