She would have way more views and success if she got healthy. I think if she recovered and made her channel about healing she would have twice as many viewers

There is often a narcissistic component to anorexia. In Eugenia's case, in my opinion, it is very present. I can tell by all the body checking she does... Narcissim feeds itself equally from positive or negative attention. It still is "fuel, supply" for the false self. The people she is hanging around with lately seem to have given her confidence, unfortunately it is reinforcing her narcissism.
Not all anorexia cases are rooted in narcissism--actually I think that's a misinformed perspective and not trauma informed at all. At the core of ALL eating disorders they are coping mechanisms--survival techniques. And body checking can be seen as a survival technique in a fat-phobic society. The neural pathways and cognitive distortions get fueled by engaging in those behaviors and hearing feedback and comments on weight absolutely reinforces the pre-occupation with weight that characterizes anorexia. Pre-occupation with weight and appearance is not narcissistic in these terms-- but rather a survival technique in a fat-phobic world and most likely the result of trauma. I agree that comments good or bad on weight and appearance reinforce the disordered cognitions. It's actually already a huge stigma surrounding eating disorders that it's about vanity and appearance-- but actually people with eating disorders have the worst self image and are cognitively distorted and have a skewed perception of themselves. Comments on being thin would reinforce those pathways and make her feel good and literally give her serotonin due to associating skinny with good and feel "safe" in a fat-phobic world because being big= unsafe and bad. It's about survival. It's not vain.

Weighing what she does, she probably can’t really think well and is far past being physically capable of escape. Maybe she’s hoping that the videos will attract enough attention for the cops to get her out.
Her mom is definitely using her for money; and so is the rest of her immediate family that lives with her. Who do you think paid for the house they live in, all their material possessions and food? Who do you think pays for her mom's clothes and designer bags? Eugenia was once an actual model- ever since she began modeling, her mother has exploited her for her appearance and dismisses anyone who addresses it as 'bullying'. There is unfortunately no way around it except to have the intervention with her mom and have her charged, instead of going after Eugenia for her disorder. Regardless of how people feel about her, everyone is going after and addressing the wrong person. Her mother needs to be confronted seriously on camera, and i have yet to see that.

That could explain why her torso looks too long for the tops/dresses she wears. I though she bought her stuff at children's clothing. That means she is probably taller than me. I am 175 cm. I remember seing somewhere that a teacher of Eugenia realized that she was obsessed with Bratz dolls and suggested she took horseback riding lessons. But, instead, her mother bought her more Bratz dolls.
Eugenia is not a bad person she just wants to be loved. She realizes her condition but I feel that she has put that issue on the back burner and her popularity on the front. Who wouldn't. Popularity on you tube is money.

"They see themselves as sexy"--- ummmm a few things. 1. proper terminology to address an ED sufferer is not "anorexic" as that implies that they ARE their disorder and nobody IS there disorder and would make separating identity from disorder hard to be addressed that way and would prevent one from recovering by using stigmatizing language around them. I had anorexia nervosa-purge subtype and I am not "anorexic" I have anorexia. There is a HUGE difference. 2. "They see themselves as sexy" usually what accompanies anorexia is body dysmorphia and often times people WITH anorexia struggle with having an accurate perception of themselves. This means that most of the time they do not perceive themselves as "sexy" or whatever. In fact, my body image was the WORST when i was at my lowest weight because it was never enough. IT was never low enough to satisfy the disorder. I was never skinny enough. I never thought I was sexy until I started to recover and take the body neutrality approach to body image healing as well

The may not feel skinny “enough,” but there seems to be pleasure in them knowing they are skinnier than most of us. I used to work with one who loved to point out that I was a lot bigger than her. I wasn’t bothered, I wasn’t overweight, but I did notice.
