This plant is what dreams are made of. It's SO beautiful and it's definitely your statement piece!
I got mine sometime in November last year. She was small. Her three leaves were just a bit smaller than my hand. I was scared. Because of what I'd seen of yours over the years. But she's totally fine. Never had any crisping or other damage. She's slow, because I don't fertilize often. Maybe once every month or two. She's in a very airy aroid mix (no soil) and her nursery pot is a clear Orchid cover pot. Meaning the cover pot is almost twice as high as the nursery pot, but the cover pot has a raised "pedestal" in the bottom and the nursery pot sits at the top of the cover pot. This allows for a reservoir. And she grew her roots into that pretty fast. I am worried for the day I have to repot her. :D
Here’s what I think from growing anthuriums for yearrrrrrrs before this plant craze hit-
Too many salts and not flushing will for sure make some edges crispy. But a big thing plants don’t like as far as humidity goes is fluctuations. That creates all sorts of stress. So sometimes the new leaf with lower humidity looks happy but the older leaves crisp up because now the humidity is lower. Salts also don’t help but it could very well be both or more than one or the other.
Consistency is what keeps plants happy, humidity wise, especially with regales and queens, and other velvet monsters. And very true of philo. luxurians. Some plants just have more tolerance to fluctuations and some hate it.
Lovely regale; you may have had your struggles with her, but that’s made you a pro with her care. Thanks for sharing Kevin!
Such a fantastic video! You’re saying everything that I am learning through my own experience and reading about Anthuriums especially the queen.
I really enjoyed this! Love your joy at it's arrival along with "Fat girl" too. Good care vibe.
I only have the crystallinum and thats all I can manage 😂
I got mine from Ecuador just few days ago shipped in my House in Philippines, really love its vibrant feature. Potted from the supplier and was surprised how they really care on how they shipped their plant. Incredibly reliable plant supplier.
I can’t wait for my regale to be at this size! Mines still a tiny seedling so it’s going to be an exciting challenge!
That leaf is huge 😱😱😂 oh my god that is gorg!
Yaaas
What a beautiful plant! 😍
Kevin, I really love your content, your plants, your voice and your personality. Thanks for all you do and keep it up. Love from Bulgaria ❤
Awww thank you so much 😊
You are spot on with your comment about high humidity. I also have a A. regal and it is definitely sensitive to the minerals in the fertilizer.
Good luck and keep posting with great content!
Definitely going through it with mine right now lol.. but that’s goals 😮💨💪🏾🤯
I feeeeeeel you 💚
I find that humidity does effect the unrolling of leaves or leaves getting stuck. But antherium leaves grow from small to large so I guess that responds differently
💚💚💚
🥰🥰🥰
Kevin...can I ask where you got your Regale? Thank you
i have a massive one, shes so pretty. and i barely take care of her. lol
Hey Kevin she’s beautiful! …my Regale is as big as yours and she’s only been holding on to one leaf at a time. She’s a bitch! And I love her!!! LOL! I’ll send you a photo on Instagram. ❤
I have a serious love hate relationship with mine. Mostly hate as she’s a stump again. I’ll keep trying until her stump is mush. If that happens I won’t be buying another. It’s too much heartbreak.
Does Regale have round or have ridges/wings on the petiole?
My petioles are rounded
@@kevin. Thanks...! You have a gorgeous one..! Good job 👊
