    First time I have finished this game years ago, when it first came out or just a bit later. But that ending... It always gets me. I'm still in AWE of it, this is peak storytelling. It changed me, redefined me, who I am, what I pursue in life. Truth. Justice. Freedom. And peace. For everyone. In everything.

      This. It speaks to us because it lies on the basis of civilization. We don't know why we live in this world, the way it is. But our great-grandfathers know damn well why they fought to give us this way of life. We will never understand the horror they've been through. They were a conduit, for us to live so well. But there's more ... so let us become the conduits that build an even better world, and relay even better guidance to the ones that come after, our children. If death is nothing but emptiness ... we owe them our 100%. So that we may at least have served a purpose, for the future of our kind.

    They will never make a game like this ever again. One so full of story, character development and many things I can't even think about.
    It also shows Ezio learning from Altair. Altair said he could never regret his life as an Assassin because that's all he knew. However for Ezio, he did have a life before even knowing what assassins are. As you go through Altair's memories one by one, you see Ezio losing faith in the creed.
    When in Capadocia, Ezio abandons all 3 tenants of the creed. While getting to the ship, he sets of a bomb which announces his presence. The fire in the boats and in the city later both abandon the creed to never harm an innocent person. And his interaction with Ahmed, kinda compromising the Brotherhood. Hence leading to the death of Yusuf.
    If you haven't played AC1, you definitely should. As a gameplay perspective it might be boring but the lore and story are way too great for a 2007 game!!

  • @ricardomiles2957

    Even tho it gives somewhat of a bitter sweet ending for Ezio and Altair lives as a assassins, it is clear that Revelations was rushed, Ahmet motivations are interesting and could've been more explored and of course they wasted the build up for subject 16. AC3 is a little rushed too but in comparison it's payoff works better.

    • @rainegamingfun
      @rainegamingfun  Před rokem

  • @albatablays24
    @albatablays24 Před rokem +2

    Altair was an assassin and at his time they cut off their ring finger in honor of Bayek(the founder of brotherhood). You need to play AC Origins to know more. But Bayek accidentally cut of his ring finger in fight and since then who ever wield a hidden blade has to do it. For Honor and for also the malfunction of the blade. if you play AC 2 you will meet Leonardo Da Vinci who fixes this malfunction which prevents future assassin's to cut off their ring finger. Also Ezio again in Honor of the Brotherhood has an AC logo embedded on his ring finger.

    • @chainedscythe2000
      @chainedscythe2000 Před rokem +2

      I thought Altair was the one who redesigned the hidden blade, as well as created the pistol.

      @@chainedscythe2000 yeah altair fixed it in the codex, Leonardo took the design from the codex

    • @METALLIFY16
      @METALLIFY16 Před rokem

      Origins is a complete bastardization of the lore and retcons so much of the first few games. They didn't cut off their fingers to honor Bayek, they did it because the blade at that time could only be used by cutting the finger. Altair learned how to better design it from the Apple and made it so you didn't have to sacrifice your finger, not Leonardo.
