I feel like they never should have added these oota rules. Ootas are a valuable part of the sport especially to give more bots options, like flipper for instance.
I totally get not wanting matches to end early and to that end I could see they staying at the size they are now.
As for safety, the reason I believe they sight, I feel they should just add some double lexan to the oota area for fire resistance with same space between just like Norwalk and keep the excitement of Ootas which the shelf was never even close to a substitute for.

A bit late here, but what's the new oota rule? Is it just adding the shields to make it harder?
I think maybe they should have a special out of the arena zone with a higher wall. What do you guys think?

1. good hit! it only lasted about 28 seconds to throw the dragon OOTA. (out of the arena)

I used to watch Robot Wars as a kid, and it was one of my favourite things watching robots getting thrown out of the arena. Why is everyone acting like it's a problem? They mad a robot that can do it, so let them do it! Plus, makes up for the nonsense judges decision from the USA vs The World episode from 2018
End game is definitely the best bot in the world, I wish you could have a rematch against bite force
