- Big freight movements on the layout always take place on a Sunday so that passenger trains can operate normally on weekdays, heres a little slice of action from Sunday 31st January 2021 with a personal greeting from me and a brief look at my Faller station canopy (ref 120199) and the DCC sound Rails of Sheffield Terrier "Brighton".

My daily journey to school took me past the Huntley and Palmers factory. The aromas emitting there from were bewitching. Needless to say I have that little Peckett.
Stunning canopy.
God bless.
Thanks Martin, stay safe

Hi Stewart, thank you so much for the shout out and very kind comments, it makes it all worthwhile to hear this :) Loved seeing you and listening to your thoughtful messages. Southern Way number 3, I am on to a few contacts of mine about that. Your layout and trains looked stunning, the little H&P and seeing the real place was nice, a big tanker train passing by in the distance and so nice to see a pair of the class 29s at work. Even a banking USA class helping a classmate. Great stuff, all the best mate. Mike
Thank you so much Mike for the kind comments I know you appreciate how much work and bad language goes into making even a short video !!
Take care mate
Stewart
Hi Stewart,
Many thanks. Nice to see you again . Loved the vintage Roco! Take care, all the Best............Reinhard
Thanks Reinhard
Great Video...Love Huntley and Palmers!
Looking great, thanks for sharing
Sorry I haven't watched your channel for a long time. I had a nasty accident and broke my left wrist a few months ago. I'm A-OK now and my model engines are running once more. I love your little pocket rockets very much. I loved seeing the Great Western Tender Engine with carriages. I'll play catchup.
Nice to see the face behind the voice Stuart , the Faller canopy sure looks the part , and the addition of the Hunter and Palmers looks the bees running on your layout , a few I have heard say they had a few probs with these Loco`s , I am always afraid to buy the short wheelbase Loco`s as you know the pickups sometimes falter especially on points ....Dave
Thanks Dave, those Peckett's run across my insulfrog points no problem at all and they run perfectly, I've got three and they can pull too !
They are very collectable too,
all the best

Now you’ve done it Stewart, another magazine to get in The Southern Way, being a SR fan myself. The Faller station canopy’s a beaut! I think so long as I’ve got my model railway, then I’ve got my sanity - always plenty to do, and operate the trains. Do take care, I’m certain we will prevail during covid, and of course my heart goes out to my friends in the Old Dart. Oh, great video of course!😀
Many thanks Andrew, if you decide to get the Southern Way the only place to get it is the book depository of course, although I'm sure you know that already ! Take care
Stewart
World of Books Australia also, and competitive and similar (and maybe cheaper). I’ve ordered one already.
@@andrewr2825 Just another 52 issues to catch up on ! (Plus the specials !!)
@@hollpoll 😂 and I see World of Books have a Southern Way issue dedicated to the SR during WW2. And, Stewart, don’t tell the wife about the 52 other issues!
First issue of The Southern Way arrived today - great magazine (or is it a book). Anyway Stewart, your sales pitch worked wonders. Cheers to you 🥂
Good video keep posting videos up
Hello Mr Hollpoll. The British company - the Book Depository - currently has a copy of the Southern Way, issue no. 3, labelled as a special wartime issue. About $30.00, and they usually do not charge postage. Have a look and see if it’s what you want. Keep the good stuff coming.
Yes I get my Southern Way from them , the issue you mention is a "Special No 3" which are special issues devoted to a particular aspect of the Southern Railway which I already have, many thanks for taking the time to look though, all the very best
Stewart
Thanks for the explanation. I will continue to keep an eye out.
Hi Stuart, I have that book for you, ordered it and on its way
I'm gobsmacked Mike thank you so much but you must let me pay for the postage which as you know is astronomical these days,
Thanks again
Stewart
Ah really sorry this fell through as the one they had was too damaged to sell :(
How on earth do u clean all that track lol
Peco or Fleishmann track rubber, Roco track cleaning truck and just got one of those Woodland Scenic Wands a combination of all of these, I only clean on a "as needs" basis otherwise I would never get any trains running ! Thanks for watching and your support
