This is a noob question, but how do you immediately mask the sphere (and only the sphere) right after dragging out the alpha curve, right before splitting the masked points?
I think it's suddenly masked when you add that bursh tool. it was like using "curve tube" brush, when you add one object with that brush, everthing was masked but the new one you add.
