I had a 790 duke tuned with remapping on 119hp on the rear wheel very nice and my 1st time with a KTM.
But now i love this brand and i’m going to buy the same one as you. What a monster and a beast!! This is the good word. Thanks for your good ride very handy for my to realize that it’s a nice one.
I tried the SF V2 , bmw s1000r, and this one last month in France.
And no doubt after my test to choose this KTM.

I looked at these but couldn’t pull myself away from the Streetfighter V4 S. Coming off the Hyper Motard 950 SP was a night and day difference. If it was just urban riding, I might still have the Hyper. I will be following your progress with this. Can’t wait to see if it grows on you or leaves you kinda blah over the whole deal. Amazing bike no matter what though.
If I had the choice, I would go with team BMW as well after watching your track and road videos of the KTM. I had a Kawi Z H2 last year and the advanced electronics made all the difference for sure. KTM seems rather raw.

I have a Werkes slip-on on my ‘22 SDR Evo. The sound is perfect IMO. Throaty without being obnoxious. Almost sounds a little Harley-ish when chugging around.
Bill in your opinion between the s1000R and s1000RR which do you think is a better BIKE and more enjoyable to ride I have a 2022 R and thought about trading in on the RR for the better wind protection and extra power
You can’t beat the KTM full Akra system. It comes with its own map. To get past the race map disabling the blinker. You just need to go with non resister Led blinkers. Cycle Gears cheap one’s work perfectly btw. Beware once you install the race map the Wheelie control doesn’t work correctly anymore. It’s s to aggressive(to much power with the race map)need to leave it off and use your skills to keep the front end down. Tapping the Rear brake works if your nervous about letting the front end come up.

Get them to check the head race bearings, could have a bit of slack which makes the front nervous and move a lot.
Agree. Also, need to check/eliminate any 'white knuckle/death grip' on the bars as that would certainly exacerbate the head shake...

I hated how loose the front end was on our super Duke, without the electronic suspension... so i am surprised the evo still has that feeling... my husband always said it feels like a dirt bike... and we both didn't like it much... but spoiled from s1000r and ductai... it's nice to try "new and have new content" hope the steering dampeners improve the ride.
That’s funny because I love the way the front end feels on my SDR as compared to my SFV4S. I always felt like I had to wrestle the SF into a corner whereas the Duke is WAY more compliant. 🤷♂️

I loved my street fighter v4s I could not, not get used to the SDR... felt like the front was skipping... v4sf though, so stable and grounded... and I felt secure... ktm nope... but I love my ktm dirt bikeand I wanted to love the ktm sdr... curious to see improvements done here! Ride safe
My 2015 Multistrada felt like the front end danced around under hard throttle. I got used to it after a while. It never got sketchy or went further than a little chatter and bar wiggle. No problem. Some of it could be dialed out with tire pressure changes.
I think ktm said that if the computer knows you want to wheelie it allows the front end to come up moore but if you don't want to wheelie and it does come up it won't come up alot

Yes the stock steering damper is shit. Not working at all when hitting triple digits. I have the ktm power parts damper now. Fully adjustable w. 32 clicks.
Were you trailbraking or was it just engine brake?
the lack of ecu flash capability for this bike really is sad
Now the most important question of the day is: Will you buy the new BMW S 1000 R ? It is mental. 210 HP, big winglets and pretty much will obliterate every naked next year. This naked bikes deserve a proper championship of their own in wsbk or something important.

If your not a wheelie guy then the SDR is probably not for you. It’s not about how fast you can go with the SDR. It’s all about the torque you get coming out of turns that put a smile on my face. I see you have slip control at 9. Most of us have it set between 4 and zero. Mine I just leave it at 2 or 3 any higher then the electronics are pulling power from the motor If the the tire dose slip out it’s only a few inches before traction control catches it. For me it’s just enough so you know you’ve reached the limit of traction.
I can deal with the wait for a austin racing exhaust. It's the price that has me cringing

I have the same bike and it’s an embarrassment how bad the front wobbles. Absolute piece of $!!t. I love the bike but so F Ed up that I need to buy another steering dampener. Bs

Hello Bill, what do you think of the M1000R coming out in January 2023? Is it worth buying or is the current or new Ducati Streetfighter V4s better? Which of the bikes would you prefer? I can not decide.
