I was getting ready to check my ac refrigerant until I heard you say that the fan can effect the compressor turning on. My fan has been running all the time on my car lately and I thought it was because it was in the 100s out here and today I went from ice cold air to nothing. I did hook up the device to my low pressure line and it was way in the red area. Any idea where I should look to resolve this fan issue?
You have to fix the problem first! Then vacuum the system! Then properly charge it! This is definitely NOT what you want to do unless you just don't give a shit! I'd like to think these guys know better! AND WOULDN'T DO THIS TO A CUSTOMER!!!!!
If you run a new compressor with no refrigerant in the system will it damage your system? Just wanted to know when to add Freon after new compressor install.

This is only a bandage solution. The root cause of the ac failure still needs to be fixed. Also this kind of ac charging can be quite dangerous if you don’t use a manifold gauge set to monitor the high side pressure. You can actually cause a catastrophic compressor failure that can possibly ruin your condensor, expansion valve, etc.
