Comparing a Marantz CD-73 to a CD-17 K. I. Signature

Here I have compared the two players using a Marantz PM-17 K. I. Signature Integrated Amplifier, and a pair of ProAc Studio 140 speakers. The CD-73 does have some endearing qualities about its sound after all those years, but is no match for the CD-17.

Is the PM-17 an amp that you'd recommend ? I've been looking for a silver PM-17 but the vast majority of them seem to be in the UK, not the US.
I wonder if the PM-8005 would be a better choice or the PM-17 ?
