No that screen just pops up you can just your lag hard and a screen pops up
You can expand the storage with wii u too.
And the Wii had expandable storage
And the 2ds and 3ds family have expandable storage
It only went up to like 64 gigs from what I know. Not good seeing that the switch can go up to 2 tb

This comparison is of the 2 home consoles, and yes I am aware the switch is a hybrid but that means it is both. The 3DS Is only portable so it is not a contender for this comparison.

I would like to add something that wasn't in there:
Some of the switch games are sequels to the Wii U games. (Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, etc.)

There's one mistake. The Wii U can't be played anywhere portably. It has to be within a certain distance from your console. Too far and you disconnect.
You can play in 1080p using a tv on the wii u

3:15 yeah they are totally equal in portability, all you have to do is take the Switch from the dock, while you have to unplug the Wii U console and take the cords along with the game pad and console in a backpack. TOTALLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF PORTABILITY!!!

So what? Is it that bad? Honestly I don't like the switch that much and I wouldn't take it outside with me... I bought the Wii U once bc I wanted a console for playing at home and it's very comfortable to play with. I already had a Nintendo and I think it's much better to carry around, and smaller so why would I need a switch? I think it's not a very good reason to dislike Wii U bc you can't play it on a plane or what ever.
My wii u is a defect so I can only play 5 inches away. (The store wouldn't let us return it so we had to keep it). But, I still love my wii u

I have both systems and i will say i really like the Switch, but i really was not that impressed over the Wii U. Every cross generation game looks almost identical and 75% of the games available in 2018 were ported over copies from the Wii U or a remaster or a remaster of versions from even the Ps3/360 era. I noticed most of the games you said were new 2018-2019 were accually not true Switch releases but from older generations. Switch is a great system, but if a person already has a Wii U, until the Switch price drops alot more its Not a BiG upgrade if really any upgrade, Switch was $499 in 2019, now $399 in 2020 which is still to much specially if you have a Wii U. And like my 3dS and PS Vita i never bring my Switch anywhere outside my home, i dont feal comfortable bringing a $500 product everywhere i go. Why the Switchs portable advantage over the Wii U is completely pointless to me, i may not be able to go to far from the consol but far enough it still serves its purpose of being a handheld at leasg somewhat. Dont think i have ever even played a game without a TV anyways, why play on a small screen when i have a 50-65 inch screen in 4 different rooms in my house. Im sure most people have more than 1 TV nowadays. Switch is a great machine and i highly recommend it, but if you have a Wii U i would either wait for the Switch to majorly drop in price, not worth more than $250 Imo. Or just wait for a Switch Pro or Switch 2. Wii U=3 core (Tri core) Switch= 4 core (Quad core) Wii U=2gb ram, Switch=4gb. Not much of an upgrade and considering the 2013 1080p PS4 has a big difference in hardware power over the 2017 Switch (Ps4=8 core&8gb memory), dont expect to much and definitely dont expect 2160p. Nintendo is more about the games and game play than top end graphics, the switch is a Majorly huge improvement over the Older standard Wii, but over the Wii U theres very minor upgrades barely noticeable. Wii U should have been bigger than it was it does everything the Wii does + No offense but please get your facts straight.

Plus I prefer the Wii Remote over the Switch's Joycons which serve their purpose, but to me the Wii Remote is more comfortable for motion controls, and buttons aren't too small, Switch Joycons fit better if you have a toddler's hands. Wii Remote + Nunchuck duo is unrivaled to me.

You gotta remember, most switch games are either direct ports or a prequel/sequel of a excising Wii U game.

Most of games (like splatoon, super mario 3d world, and mariokart 8 deluxe) are just ports and more DLC of the Wii U and literally the UI is too clean it didn’t include audio and sound, just effects and literally it was just a commercial failure, it doesn’t mean it was trash, i still have a Wii U and I also have a Switch (bcus of Animal Crossing), and tbh the Wii U is not trash

I prefer the Wii U in terms of build quality. I've had to send 2 Switches back due to either failure with the screen or problems with the right joycon after just 10 days of use on my replacement Switch.
Never before have I had issues with Nintendo's build quality, but I really do feel that the Switch feels cheap, especially for the price it sells at.
The Wii U feels sturdy and solid and it still works and has never had one issue from day 1.

Sadly it's not really funny and not really informed. But I love how it perfectly shows the problem of the Wii U. Nobody bought it because they thought it was just a heavy, thick Tablet with only 480p. People also thought it could be taken anywhere like the Switch now, but you can't. Some people also thought it would just be an Add-on for Wii. The problem was the marketing.
