- Yakima ShowDown Kayak/SUP Side Loader is first load-assist mount to handle both SUPs and kayaks, makes loading and unloading heavy boats and boards a breeze. The lightweight mount tilts down more than two feet from the roof rack, takes on up to 45% of the boat’s weight, then helps gently raise it up to the top of the vehicle. Once loaded it securely cradles your boat or boards for the ride. At only 9.5 kg. it’s super lightweight but built burly enough to wrangle an 36 kg. load. Get yours freaksports.com.au ships AUS wide
The roof rack and two kayak lift assists literally cost more than the kayaks........lol So 1500mm with around 4" on each end to spare not including the caps which don't count. So 200mm extra.... Next size down is a 1375mm bar. That would leave 38mm each side or 1-1/2" which is still doable.
this is how you make a video fast forward and no more posing in front of a camera
This is not an installation video.
So if you have 2 people to load onto the yakima... why don't you have 2 people load it onto the rack directly?
Will this support the weight of a hobie pro angler 12?
How wide is that kayak? I have a feelfree lure 11.5 and wanted to purchase the yakima showdown don’t know if my kayak will fit on the showdown...any info will help with my decision
No bow and stern tie down?
Any idea if the showdown could handle shorter and lighter kayaks? Maybe with the use of the J cradles? It would be on a full-sized truck topper.
now do it on a high top van
The kayak I'm buying is 35kg, so just fits the weight restriction but is 86cm wide, does anyone know if the Yakima can take that width, their instruction sheet and specifications does not mention it.
You can put two of them on one rack? E trailer told me no
God bless
Can I get 4 kayaks on this? Double stacked?
Sorry I guess I should have been more specific, I have 60 inch wide yakima jetstream bars and was wondering if two would fit side by side to Cary two kayaks like the chevy 3500 in the video.
What length are your cross bars?
Can this carry Hobie Outbacks?
Will this work with a 28' ladder?
What size crossbars do you have?
