Commentary is all nostalgic except for the picture quality. Raised in the 90s so video quality was super. But still awesome due to the commentary. One and only Richie Benaud.

Border Border poor Allan Border.....life sucks with so many heartbreaks in test cricket man
    ...Melbourne lost by 3 runs
    ...Madras 1984 Tied match
...Adelaide 93 dream to defeat WI looses by 1 run
Today test cricket lives on because of heros like u who put their heart and soul for every single run for Australia

The tied match in Madras was a "victory" for the Aussies, AB was mega happy about that one. The other two I agree with. Only reason he was involved in so many was because of his outstanding long career. I wish there was some footage of his two innings in Trinidad in 1984.......

In England, I grew up with an almost aristocratic version of Richie Benaud, reserved, calm and stateman-like.
But he was clearly a very different broadcasting animal in his native land. He was an off-white or occasionally beige international chameleon.

Proper grown up cricket pitches. A fair battle between bowlers and batters. Nowadays batsman hit anything and it sails to the boundary. I still love the Tests but it’s not the same ..

I think it kinda sucks that cricket is no longer really on free-to-air TV anymore, I get the corporate sponsorship and pay tv/kayo sports but 7 of now couldn't even secure the rights or the refused to pay it, channel sometimes as well?! I'm not the biggest fan of cricket I'll admit but there's something magical about watching the 80's variant here. It's just kind of comforting to watch with it's old school larkinism and characters (players and broadcasting team) without the abundance of ads either. It would be televised for a whole sunday as I remember?! Oh well thanks for the memories.......
