Don't you hate it when you're just walking along the sidewalk, minding your own business, and someone throws a hamburger at you🤣

I thought baroreceptors were responsive to pressure and mechanoreceptors are responsive to touch (mechanical stimuli) ?

Tolstuha the baroreceotors are sensing the changes in the blood pressure inside the vessels, while these mechanoreceptor sense the pressure from outside starting with the skin, you can feel a bit of pressure when someone touch you and you feel a lot of pressure when someone step on you for example

Since mechanoreceptive somatic senses include tactile and position thus it responds to pressure, touch etc(tactile) esp pressure change on skin while baroreceptors is change of pressure in blood vessels esp arterial blood pressure i guess
