Yes, the cats are very spoiled. They have a great life considering they were rescued from Istanbul. The cat wall we had made here and it's about to get an upgrade with a 2nd hammock added.
It is hard to say if you made a good choice I assume this new apartment is close to where you work and that was a main concern. Frankly speaking for expats Thao Dien is the best place but d7 Phu My Hưng is a great location as well for expats . When it comes to real estate there are three main considerations 1# location 2# location 3# location . The best location would have been Senic valley and green valley . You have so much at your door step within walking distance and I thought that the Green valley was the most tastefully decorated.None of these places are old we are talking 5 to 6 years old max but many of the apartments stay empty for years after completion. The ECO GREEN area where you are is a work in progress with crazy plans for a 70 floor 5 star hotel but it will be years before that will be desirable if ever . Hope you enjoy the new place but think you over paid .
Absolutely it's about location and that's why we moved where we did. It's close to Steph's work and the area is great, coffee shop, pho shop, super supermarket, cat store, and great footpaths for walking and a mall fairly close. I think we made a great choice. You'll have to watch along to see if that IS the outcome hahaha. No, it's not Eco Green that place has a terrible reputation.

For me the most important thing is the location. I like to walk out for dinner and drinks lot of these big apartment blocks are miles from anywhere and only have big chain coffee shops etc. Hope you enjoy your new Place.😀
Yes, in the arrival phase here too we felt the same, but that honeymoon period has worn off and now we just want quiet and ease of travel to work for Steph. It's pretty easy to get around Saigon and taxis are dirt cheap, so not an issue. So pleased to have along for the expat ride, we'll be showing you the area around our place and more of what it entails to set up here in Vietnam. Plus later in the year we have some awesome travel planned. please stay tuned and sub if you haven't already xoxo

Yes, unfurnished is best when you're in your home country, but we don't intend to stay here forever, so in that case it doesn't make sense to get unfurnished. Plus surprisingly there aren't many unfurnished places in Vietnam.
