The backing vocals was the guitarist, John Frusciante XD
SO HAPPY HE’S BACK WITH THEM
and they hardly showed him in this video
You miss spelled jesus
Green and Blue ahahah damn straight
FLEA - amazing amazing amazing bassist!!!!
Flea is one of the best bass players in the business... Under the Bridge is my favorite...born and raised in Los Angeles and I love that song.
He's also a top-notch trumpet player
Another good song “Give it Away” or anything by them, really
Yeah, he should do the official video!
Yes, and YES!
come on you have to do "give it away"! that´s the real good old peppers, and you will enjoy the video ;-)
Definitely
parallel universe one of my favorite songs to sing
Under The Bridge, Give It Away, Scar Tissue, Californication
Dani Californication, hell, all of the Blood Sugar Sex Magic album!
@@andidreyes5323 DEFINITELY HIGHER GROUND
Yes RHCP has a LOT of funk, they were huge fans of George Clinton, the godfather of funk.
More than just fans, he actually produced freaky Styley by them. Also, they toured together i believe. They're legit friends.
Yep
The Godfather of funk was James Brown. Anyway, they were also huge fans of James Brown :D
Higher ground
First album yes album... was produced by George Clinton.
Every song on stadium arcadium has an incredible john frusciante solo. A true legend.
My man John Frusciante with those back vocals 🤯 Jesus with a guitar
Bro you killed me. The angelic voice is the guitar guy with long hair. Bro your awesome for reacting to one of my favorite band's RHCP. thanks bro.♏❤😎😇
"Don't Forget Me" will give you more goosebumps than the rest...RHC Don't Forget Me LIVE
YESSSSS
Live at La Cigale!
Definitely one of top Chili Peppers songs. So amazing
Yes! I request this all the time from different reaction channels without any luck. Seen them many times over the years and they have never disappointed, their energy and passion put into every show is so contagious!
@@vogueideals5825 !000% agree
They played Woodstock 94’ naked with socks over there junk
actually woodstock 99, and flea came out and played naked.
And at Lollapalooza in St. Louis in 92’ Flea played their set wearing nothing but a pair of white Fruit of the Loom underwater & a pair of Air Jordans!
they had an entire cocks in socks tour just saying.
AND at Red Rock amphitheater in Denver, CO in 1988. Was there for that!
💯💯💯💯❣️😁😝
"give it away" is their most famous and most funky hit. "dani california" one of my favorites. their bassist flea is a true icon among bass players.
“Under the Bridge” is definitely their biggest hit. Def not funky tho.
You're In for a long trip if you like the peppers. 30 years of fire.
Red Hot Chilli Pepper concerts in the early 2000's were out of this world!!!
I saw a five-level human pyramid being built by real punks right in front of my eyes and it was absolutely glorious watching the top guy fall and try again about 5 times...the determination!!!
Lol amazing
I'm from Russia and this one of my favorite group. Listen him, when I studied in the school 😁😁😁
This whole " slane castle" performance was fire!
I love it when people listen to the chillis, and their brain and soul gravitates towards John.
The album this one came off of is a banger. All great songs.
"This life is more than just a read through" love that!
John Frusciante is god, and he is doing the back vocals, also he has his own songs as solo artist, you should take a look to that, "Anne", "The Will To Death", "Before The Beginning" or "Scratches" are songs that i recommend. Peace man, keep rockin' with good music.
Yes! Love his solo stuff. The Will to Death, Inside of Emptiness and The Empyrean are class albums. And his mind is just on another level. The video on here where he just talks for like 40 mins about consciousness and life etc is amazing. I've listened to it so many times.
Listen to his album To Record Only Water for 10 Days
@@emilyjames7159 I have. It's also brilliant. He's a genius
@@IndieRockerHippy when shadows collide and Empyrean are essential
RHCP without John Frusciante ain’t the RHCP.
more proof that people who like this song end up singing Frusciante's background vocals :)
I was at that gig. Can't believe 17 yrs ago , my young 23 yr old self and sister got the 2.5 hr bus journey that morning, beer in towe. Drunk by the time we got there. Queens of Stone, Foo Fighters warmed us up before Chillis came on. Best night at a gig ever. We didn't get home til 7am following morning, had breakfast and straight to the pub to finish off what was a rocking weekend 🤟
This is one of my go to DVDs for parties. This entire performance at Slane Castle in Ireland is absolutely incredible beginning to end. There over 80,000 people at that show! Great introduction to this group, they have TONS of amazing songs so have fun.
I recommend 'Don't forget Me', 'By The Way, and 'Zephyr Song' from this show.
That beautiful voice you’re hearing is John Frusciante. His backing vocals are incredible. He does solo stuff, I’d love to see you react to “I’m around” and ‘Regret” by John Frusciante.
Please react to their songs “Under the bridge”, “Epic” and “Apache Rose Peacock “ for some funk!!! 💛✌️
Brain fart, not Epic, “give it away” is the song!
Epic was by Faith No More.
Under the bridge for sure would be great for you to see! Agreed!
Andrew Gibson yeah, I realized that immediately and corrected the mistake- got too many great songs running through my head!
@@kimberlinibambini1988 their song 'venice queen' used to actually be called epic when it was a demo :) its a good song too :)
'By the way' is my favourite song of theirs. I've never known what the hell they were talking about in any of their songs, but theyre super easy listening.
I love that one! Also Throw Away Your Television, Cabron, the Zephyr Song, that album is just banger after banger.
@@jeffk.9075 I bought by the way the year it came out when I was 11 while on holiday in Spain. And I didn't know what cabron meant. I was just running around singing it to myself. I didn't notice anyone looking at me weird but I'm sure they must have been! The moment of realisation 5 or so years later was brutal 😂😂
Every song on that album is great! Love the video to By The Way! 😂
This review made me happy! You reviewed one of their most iconic concerts! Love this band.
my man john frusciante, my mother fucking hero! and yeah when you said about it being hard to do, and him multitasking, it is. ive played guitar since i was 12. john is my all time favorite player. this songs rhythm is very hard to play correctly, he plays it using his thumb and palm mutes all the notes he doesnt want hit and constantly mutes other notes while strumming all the strings freely. its a great example of funk style playing. which not a lot of players do. i can play it just like him but youll never see me playing this rhythm doing circle spins and jumping up and down. rhcp's stage presence is unmatched. and for anyone that doesnt know, this was their concert in Ireland. people see huge crowds like this and think it was a festival. this was not a festival it was their show.
I’ve seen them live twice. They are even better live than on their records. Which is a rare thing. They are INCREDIBLE live. One of the greatest bands of all time. You would love one of their shows. You should go see them live someday 👍it’s lit, total 🔥
The person singing the backup vocals is the lead guitarrist John Frusciante one of my favorite guitarrist. Good video 👊
The Dirty Glass, Black Velvet Band, Bastards on Parade, Peg O My Heart so many good ones
Good song- however, in my opinion.. it’s off the wall one for someone just being introduced to them- “Give it away”, “Under the Bridge.” I highly suggest those 2 as a must- And Apache Rose Peacock “ is pure funk/rock!!💛✌️
Hes prolly defintitly heard other songss of them but just dont know it ..till he hears and is like "oh this is them" ..as a fan for or like 30 yrs i wonder how people havent heard of or heard them too but sometimes my niece will mention rap or hip hop artist that are big and im like "who!?? Never heard of em" or even big pop artist. Hahahhahah she will be playing a sonf ans suprised i never heard it (but im not big on current hip hop n rap)
Thank you for posting this I love this band and showing a real concert.
Dani California is another great RHCP track.
My favorite
I agree, another one of favorites! I love pretty much all their music. From 1983 til today, through the change of sound evolution to band line up changes!
The video is fabulous too!
Their song 'Otherside' is what first caught my interest
"Mother's Milk" (circa 1989) was one of their first albums to receive nationwide recognition and wide airplay. It remains my favorite to this day. I saw them in the fall of 1989.
Flea (dude in the skeleton outfit) is one of the greatest bassists of all time in any genre.
my favorite band of all time seen em twice live in the uk, glad you reacted to them, one of my fave reactors reacting to one of my fave bands keep rocking bro 50 k n counting, ya man batesy
John Frusciante plays guitar and sings backup vocals. My favorite voice ever.
Nobody talking how good was Anthony singing on this concert 🔥
Because he didn't? 😂
“A beautiful voice in the background” yep, that was the exactly thought I had 25 years ago when I first heard them.
"Give It Away" at Slane Castle, perfect!!!
Brilliant concert. Love RHCP 🌶 Can't beat a good show at Slane 🇨🇮☘The dreamy voice is John, the guitar player, with the long hair. Pax Christi 🇨🇮☘☘🌶
Literally one of my favorite performances ever. I’ve seen this video over a hundred times. Love that you’re reacting to it my guy
Damn, I wish I could watch their concert again for the first time.
You need to check out Dropkick Murphy's "I'm shipping to boston"
I'd make an argument for "State of Massachusetts" of well, but only with lyrics so he can get the context.
My favorite band! Love the song Otherside..imo the best one ever in the history of rock!
They SO damn cool!
One of my all time faves. Saw them in early 90’s and it was epic. They had flames coming out of hard hats. 😳😳👍🏼🤩. Many groovy type funk punk choice to react to. Please continue. This was not the first song I would have recommended. Maybe give it away??
These guys are the shit dude. Legendary instrument skills and next level swag!
Can't Stop was the song that made me want to hear more RHCP. I had heard Give It Away but that didnt click with me the way Can't Stop did. The music video for it is great as well.
Flea and John, best bassist/guitarist combo ever assembled
red hot chili peppers song " parallel universe " it will blow you away
You've cheered me up again. Thank you.
i'm a black woman from Chitown and i love all kinds of music. rock n roll and heavy metal music is my favorite next to R&b! if u wanna know what rock groups to check out let me know!
Check out System of a Down if you haven’t yet.
I love that you go from your favorites being heavy metal to R&B! Sounds about like me! I'm all over the place musically speaking! ❤️❤️❤️
The music video for this song is one of my favourites of all time.
Never fails. You have me crying every reaction. Great job bro
the beautiful voice is John Frusciante the guitarist. Legend. And, i will add the only time they are relevant besides when Hillel was alive, is when John is with them. Thank God hes back.
Amen
John will always be my fav chili pepper guitarist!
Agree to all of ya
Yes John is awesome but josh pretty good in his own right. Never seen them live would be nice now that john is back and concerts somehow resume one day.
All their guitarists have been great. They weren't relevant with Dave? They had HUGE singles from One Hot Minute. As long as Flea and Anthony are involved, I'm in; slightly different flavors with each guitarist.
This whole concert is a vibe
RHCP “ZEPHYR SONG” it’s one of their mellow songs.🥰
aero plane califonication honestly I’ve listened to every song produced by them and there’s not a bad one highly recommend just listening to them by yourself an smoke your bud it’s a whole vibe
Hey man, so glad I found the channel a few weeks ago, but just gotta say Jamel aka Jamal sent me. He shouted you out and wanted to share the love. Great videos and always looking forward to the next one
Lmfao. Dude came out lookin like Ken from Street Fighter. 🤣 This is one of my fave groups ever. I saw them live once and the energy was amazing.
LOL! You are so fun to watch! Best reactions! Love it!
Another banger!!! Thanks again for the reaction!!!
They are incredible
the first time you listen to a John Frusciante backing vocal song is a treat
Don’t know how I missed this one.....before headphones too, damn. So these guys are one of the greats of the 90’s imo. Again, when you can do this live- you’ve got it. 🎼🎶🎸🔥🎹🎵🎵🎤🤘😎turns out I didn’t miss it, lol yeah it’s Friday alright, good grief.
Grateful that you reacted to this band brother, love the content.
You would love other side, and around the world I think, also the recorded versions allow you to hear the small nuances of songs for first listeners
Another great song from this same show is "THROW AWAY YOUR TELEVISION", fast funky bass and tribal drum beats are what this song incredible live.
Oi oi oiiiii
This is probably the 10th time I'm watching this video, still the best and most hilarious reaction everrrrrrrr!! Dude I f love you hahahahaha
“I still don’t know who was singing back there.” Haha 😆
Dude been loving your reactions for a long time so fn cooling
Thanks, MV - yeah, I'm old, in fact old enough to have experienced some of the new wave/punk stuff back in the late seventies/early eighties - what I love about these guys is that they not only have some rock/funk/punk flair - but also a little "rap" (not my favorite genre) - some melodies and lyrics you can actually follow -- good job!
This guy’s personality is 🔥🔥🔥
You've definitely got to listen to more of them!
You are hilarious brother. As soon as you started chocking up... I could not breathe
"get your minds out the gutter" 😂 dude your literally hilarious and I love your videos I appreciate such mindful and entertaining content ! you could literally be a stand up comic lol
Love red hot chili peppers. They have a lot of awesome songs. Also loving youre channel. Keep it up
They're the best band in the world. Even their less successful albums have some incredible songs. And the evolution from heavy funk to the melodies etc of later tracks is incredible. So many people missing out on their 200 song strong back catalogue..
Love this, Slane is only a 10 min drive from my town. This is brilliant 🙌
I love Red Hot Chili Peppers! I hope you'll react to more of them. "Give it away" is a good one too.
My new favorite reaction guy. Great job. And you are hilarious. 🤘👊
They are so 🔥🔥🔥live. Saw them in one of the first Lollapaloozas.
Just...all RHCP songs...there's sooooooo many great ones. 💖🌠💖
I love that you love them! All of their album, Mothers Milk! SHOOOOOOT! It’s more than 💯!!!
Dani California is my fav RHCP song.... but you really can’t go wrong with anything from them!
Glad you reacted to them, RHCP is my favorite band. Another song you should listen to is “Give it away” live from their 2006 concert in Italy.
Your love for the chili peppers has gained my sub! Awesome bro 🤣✊🏽
Red hot chili peppers doing "Dont Forget Me" live at slane castle is a whole other level of epic. John Frusciante is a god on guitar
I used to have the dvd of this entire concert back in the early 2000s
Your reactions r on point once more my friend
one of my fav bands
Bruh you are the best reaction channel 😂 keep it up🤙🏽
Can't Stop this Feelin❣️❣️❣️❣️💯
I Still have it on DVD ! One of my favorite concert ever .. and the californication... before they start... Omg ... You really have to see that unfcknbelievable 🔥🔥
Had no clue it would be something I liked from years back and I never thought it looked worrying until you pointed it out 😂.
You gotta react to the whole concert! They have some musical jams in between songs that are just fucking insane!
ANOTHER GOOD MAN, THESE GUYS ARE REALLY FUN , SEEN THEM SOME NIGHT SHOWS, THEY COOL AS HELL.
_big funk in RHCP's "Power of Equality" and "If You Have to Ask" for real
Give it away, one of their best songs!
This is the best comedy show on youtube. Your reactions are priceless
Your reaction is hilarious. Thank you
