- Hey guys and gals, this is my review of my Maaco paint job. Honestly, I think they did what I kind of expected for the price. All in all, I am happy with what I got for the price. This is my experience with my local Maaco in Eastern, PA. If this helps you to make a decision, please give it a like and consider subscribing. Way more to come in the coming months.

Need to throw down some paint on my barn find work truck 69 gmc longbed ! Great video man !
Appreciate it man!
Thanks for the review and follow up. Nice to hear how the paint has been holding up. I been hearing mixed review. Been thinking about getting my truck painted.
Definitely. I'm still turning heads where ever I take it.
Great video my dude. Well narrated and I appreciate the honest experience.
Thanks for the comment, it was fun making it!
Thanks for the review. Yeah honestly I was thinking of using them to paint my 87 Chevrolet. I’m not going for show quality I just want something that looks more presentable. Their rates seem pretty reasonable. The location near me got really bad reviews but I think it’s because people don’t prep their vehicles enough. I think if you wax your car and wash it on a fairly consistent basis, their paint holds up pretty good.
My truck 97 ram was painted in winston salem nc by maco it was painted gray n 13 months it faded so bad people ask me if the truck was in primer very dissatisfied my truck it was 1300 hundred dollars thay did do some body work must have been done by the wash boy
That really sucks man! Thanks for the post though, stay away that Maaco for sure. You ought to fight that though, and send them your receipt and some pics. That's some serious bs for 1300 bucks, and they should do right by you. I'd be so pissed.
From what I gather you got the middle package. How much more was the premium package that is 1 base coat and 1 clear coat? Do you think it would be worth the extra for that or stick with the urethane one
I think that paying for the extra might not be worth it. I got the single stage so the paint and clear are mixed for 1000.00 and I had to do the prep work. But if I were to do it on my own, I think you're absolutely correct. I would have went with a couple coats of black with a little flake, and then probably a few coats of clear. For what I paid for, they didn't wet sand the truck after paint, so I probably would have wet sanded right after paint if I were to do it again and then go with a polish. They recommended no wax or polish after the paint job to let the paint cure for 6 months, but I think wet sanding right into polish after getting the truck back would have been a game changer. I'm still happy with what I have for sure.
