Who do you want the Cardinals to make a move for?
They're making their move, since Oliver got thrown out. Wanna see the IL guys merge into this fast moving ball club. I'll be rooting for anybody we bring on even though we got all we need: czcams.com/video/_paPrw0gAUo/video.html
Kevin Pillar ...really? Rooker? lol... just bring Walker back and let him play through his problems like the other young players
@@og-jd8wd you need a role guy… Walker on the bench isn’t ideal for his development
@@LockedOnCardinalsMLB So you're saying Carpenter and Crawford were bad roster choices and the current outfielders are better than Walker? Only Burleson in my opinion is better right now
Top 1 or 2 starter and a strikeout relief help.
About the only really worthwhile musings about the Cardinals I hear come from Jim Edmonds. His filter is off. His insight in-depth. Sometimes off base. Often amazingly enlightening.
I wish Jimmy was in the booth more ..he's very smart and a funny side as well👍
Amen brad Thompson is yes man homer
GO CARDS!!!!!
Well, at 35 Pillar definitely fits the mold! 😂 Rooker looks to be drawing way too much attention right now for the Cards to be able to afford him. I, for one, would LOVE to see Tommy Pham back in the clubhouse, though! Love the guy!
Do they maybe need to reassess the organization's batting coaches?
They better do something. When you face a pitcher that’s 2-7 and a era of almost 7 and can’t score a run there’s problems.
Hendricks always gives us problems idk if it's just a cards cubs rivalry thing but he always brings his best stuff against us
We've let all these outfielders go and Carlson is still here. Interested to see where Tommy plays it's sad to say cause I love Goldie but Burleson to first base seems to be the future.
Really agree with the idea of a Angels or White Sox trade package, really good pieces that could work with what the team needs if possible
No trading/ giving up top prospects for senior citizens(ages 35+)
Why not? Pillar fits the needed profile to a T, and could be had for a bag of chips.
YES
Yes
Cubs playing alot better , just swept orioles, their on a high hopefully our pitcher's can shut them down
Tommy could come back and be 1/3 of the production he was and i stil dont think itd matter too much with how good siani has been in CF
Agree Tommy was awsome in cf ..we need all the offence we can get
tommy edman should just sit out he whole year apparently his surgery was much more serious then there letting on about
When you ask someone to hit different or lift the ball your changing his natural abilites the way he used to hit. He was doing great in the minors and was called up for a reason..personally i will take a 17 game hitting streak than 0 for 17 with homeruns... im hoping Tommys wrist is good to go..the timing? .bcz hes been off for awhile. Lets gets some good pitching. We have to hit Hendricks everone else does. Andersons pretty good.
Alll hope lies in Goldy adding a hundred points to his RISP and Arenado becoming an RBI force as well. They won’t jettison either of them. We will also need Crawford and Carpenter to earn their money down the stretch.
dont bet on either scenario why should goldy nado perform now when they havent all year all they care about is there paycheck they care nothing of the cardinals does it not show in there play??
I think goldy needs to go
@@williamyoder-b5sarenado is still a guy we need around because of his defense and the fact that he's reliable even tho the power hasn't been there he's still batting in the high 200s isn't striking out that much and drives in runs
Rod Tidwell type of sand paper.
Pillar is 5 for his last 40 since June 12th (basically the last month).....that's hitting .125 the last month.
I wouldn't take Burly off the field or roster for anyone on this team!!
No way I take Donovan off the field or out of the lineup for anybody.
No way I take Burleson off the field or roster for anyone.
Donnie isn't even better than Burly LMAO
Burleson should have been an all-star
Rooker dh what do you do with Burly/Contreras
@@BillDownton Contreras catches so that’s not an issue… Burly would start against righties… but I agree it creates some competition for at bats… it’s why I like Pillar more for the need
@@LockedOnCardinalsMLBI think the solution is you trade goldy he's been a rally killer most of the year you pit burly at first and add In rooker I think our lineup looks much scarier with him in thr cleanup spot
Yes 1000% times yes bat before pitchef
The bad thing is and I’m sticking on management. we lost two games to Kansas City only because of decisions from management . If sunny gray can’t pitch on five days off why you sign him to three years for around eighty million dollars . It was his fifth day and we got a two game day because of rain . I know baseball I played I coached . When your in a situation with two games in one day you want to make dam sure you win one and by going with a young maybe number five starter you make dam sure you go with a regular starter for the other game but no the idiot manager goes with bullpen option this is a we don’t want to win absolutely had our best starter ready five days rest Kansas City has no pitch near the talent of sunny gray yes we win we split and that’s exactly perfect. But management doesn’t want to win any game not understanding.
Couldn't of said it better
Very near-sided opinion, and shows you don't know what you don't know, tbh. In the big picture, you want your top pitcher(s) on the mound in Division games, not non-Division games. We play the Cubs now. If you use Gray against KC, he misses the series with the Cubs. I coached 22 seasons, with a .750 career win percentage. You don't use your top pitcher in non-Conference games, you get by against that non-Conference opponent with a lesser pitcher. You use the top pitcher for the Conference game 2-days later. That's why your opinion misses the big picture. You want short-term gratification at the expense of long-term success. Nothing wrong with what Marmol did, it was the right decision.
The Angel's guy would be the one
I'm still saying that they do nothing. I hope im wrong, but we will see. And if they do make a move, it will be for a middle of the road guy, not great, but not bad cause that's what they do always
Don’t need another older player
We can all dream about players coming here but DeWitt will not allow Mo to bring someone here to help this team!
Never have enough good bats
The button around Lance Lynn's belly button is about to pop.
I believe this Management team is a poor judge of talent.I see only a few pure athletes on the roster.
single out the REAL PROBLEM, that being Mo who can't judge talent.
Shildt was the expert on that when he headed the Minor league organization, and Mo fired him.
@@rayrussell6258 I agree with you on that.
The Cards management is going to screw up and get rid of Siani. Another one bites the dust.
Im just being honest Rooker wouldn't solve this teams problem don't get me wrong he's a great hitter but it's the sorry pitching that we've been dealing with for years.
Our pitching has been solid up until recently I think we do need another starter but with goldy and nado not producing as much to say we don't need another right handed bat is ludicrous rooker would help our lineup a ton slot him in at the 4 spot and we have a reliable cleanup hitter which is what our offense has been lacking all year long we get guys on at the top of the lineup but either strand them or only score one or two rooker can change that
Edman should be trade bait unless they plan on releasing Crawford or carpenter
you wont get anything he will never pass the other teams physical theyll lowball the cardinals no way edman gets fair evaluation from any other team
Pillar then pham
Id rather get a #2 starter lik max sherzer and another good reliever instead of a bat i thnk unfortunately that when edmon is back he will get cf again even tho siani and his gold glove defense deserve bttr hopefully they keep him on the bench at least for later innings defense but there will b a roster spot issue someone will have to go it'll b interesting we'll c wat hppns id b OK if we added an upgraded cf bat like jazz Chisholm we'd have to trade either nootbar or edman prob to accompany it tho and they'd get the biggest return carlson ain't worth a whole lot at the moment but nice show j.d. go cards!!
Gonna take edman a while to get the flow back
Pham and Gritchuk: NO!
I want to keep Siana in centerfold he hitting 230 Edman hit 248 last year that's one hit per 100 bats Siana plays better defense
Keep Siani in center, put Edman on second and give Gorman a bus ticket to Memphis…….one way.
@@georgesouthwick7000I agree
@@georgesouthwick7000there’s some people saying gormon is gonna be a stud but he just ain’t good enough I’m really about tired of that one person he trolls and says gormon is better if he was why does he have so much strikeouts
@@Gamer1234brendan who strikes out more than goldy sir and they never say bench him why not??gorman at least has prodigious power all goldy has is the past ..all he has now is big time choke artist
@@Gamer1234brendangorman has too much upside to send him down when he gets hot I believe he's one of the best power hitters in the league he's just streaky and he's slowly getting back once he hits his stride he's worth keeping in the lineup
A high school team could hit better than the Cardinals did vs hindrix tonight. Whats an arm do. Shut the other team out. Its about how we have won. U got a righty yet were loaded with lefties. Noot leadoff. Oh. Check out Nado who wants to pull a outside pitch less than 90mph to get into a double play. Or goldy at 89mph which 75 percent of the pros hit a homer on that pitch miss it to get burly caught stealing. Trade both the corners and wth isn't DC playing, he hits 10x better than Siani. ? U need no hitters to win with this line up and a coach who allows it. Walker would of homered on that pitch Goldy couldn't even foul off..
Ok I read on your comment show . More and more trade goldy. But I’m ready on sports shows intelligent men on baseball they say goldy is capable of hitting for the entire team by himself . We if we want to win baseball games trade goldy would be a very stupid decision.
@@MichaelStewart-tk4tj Goldy isn’t going anywhere, FA after the year
@@LockedOnCardinalsMLB just bat him ninth and everything changes
@@LockedOnCardinalsMLBI disagree trade him to a contender that wants to make a run I don't care what we get back for him to be honest it frees up the position and you can move burly to first then you have room to go add a guy like rooker
It isn’t the quantity of outfielders that’s the problem, it’s the quality.
substitute "pitchers" where you said "outfielders", and we can all agree with you.
With Walker now gone, we have a great outfield.
Walker was a natural hitter then the hitting instructors say hit this way hit that way , just leave him alone and let him hit his way
This J.D guy said Walker is big like Judge and should be hitting Home Runs. On a rain Delay it was said a Cardinal Coach was trying to change Willie McGee on his batting stance.
I agree
Walker was a high % strike out hitter in the low Minors from the very start. Hitting instructors had nothing to do with that. He just has too many holes in his swing.
He only hit homers because Minor league pitching throws hamburgers to hitters. They threw fastballs all the time, so Walker got lucky every once in a while. That stopped at the MLB level, because pitchers get a book on you, and don't throw hamburgers.
Walker has a place in the Majors as a bench player someplace, but not with the Cardinals.
@@rayrussell6258 The current outfielders must have had a lot of hamburgers (Wimpy) because they can't score from first on a double
@rayrussell6258 Damn, that's pretty harsh. Wonder what would happen if they moved him back to 3B. Suddenly the future there isn't so logjammed.
There’s absolutely no question as to who screwed up Jordan Walker’s swing. It’s the same guy who has screwed up a lot of Cardinals players swings…….Turner Ward.
You will not be able to keep anybody you trade for.they don t like st louis or their fanbase.
More people like playing in st louis than you think and guys that actually play on the team love the fan base we just don't she'll out enough money most of the time
@@tylerbenlien6093 yeah fowler heyward and ozuna sure loved the fanbase all right.besides which it is bill s money.why should he bankrupt himself for st louis people who currently are trying to make him lose money by boy cotting games?
Yes and Goldy needs to be traded!!!
Unfortunately, we are most likely stuck with Goldy for this season. But he won't be a Cardinal in 2025. Our new 1B will be Burleson.
@@robv141414We need to get a steal and trade Goldy
just bat him ninth and see what happens if he craps the bed than dfa him
