  • The record, not the performance, should determine the “winner” of next week’s debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. That’s the opinion of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who discussed the debate on NewsNation’s “On Balance.”

    I think whomever is not a convicted felon and whoever’s spiritual advisor did not just admit to molesting a 12 year old child should win.

    Winning a presidential debate should involve a message of bringing people together and focusing on policy goals and solutions for individual Americans, not the usual rhetoric coming from the puppets of the Democratic and Republican corporate war machine.

    All candidates should remain breathing throughout the debate and if they wander off more than15 feet then they are disqualified.

    He was terrible in that first debate in 2020.So many people didn’t tune into the second one where he did much better

    So if Trump is a good debater why did he not debate Kennedy at Libertarian convention,maybe afraid of what Kennedy can bring up

      Because there's no point in wasting time debating a Candidate with no hope of winning an election. Kennedy would've had a chance had he filed as a Democrat... Not a good chance, because the Party wouldn't have backed him, but a chance. Running as a Libertarian? Pointless.

    Charlie Kirk attacks idea that the earth revolves around the sun as "woke" citing common sense proves the opposite.

    The truth is that Trump is starting to show signs of cognitive disability as well. While the country is screwed either way and this is the least important election ever, the Vice Presidential debates will be the most important of all time.

      I think that's a false equivalency. That's like pointing at a car with a dent and one that rolled 5 times and saying they were both in accidents.

    • @rickmartin9420
      @rickmartin9420 Před 6 dny

      @@michaelrandall7667 There is a reason Trump refused to debate his Republican candidates. It's because he has declined and debating would have only hurt him. It takes much less cognitive ability to regurgitate slogans in front of a venerating crowd than to actually answer a question. In 2016, Trump was able to easily deflect questions with witty and effective insults directed to his opponents which were also effective at covering up his lack of knowledge on the issues, but he is shell of his former self. He was less effective in 2020 and now he has had 4 more years of decline.

    • @michaelrandall7667
      @michaelrandall7667 Před 6 dny

      @@rickmartin9420 He didn't debate in the primary for the same reason Biden didn't. There was nothing to gain from it. Your whole cognitive decline assertion lacks actual evidence. His rate of gaffes was way higher while he was president than recently. The nunbers don't lie. Even if you're right, it doesn't change the fact that Biden's rate is at least 20 times that of Trump's and much more severe. Not to mention Biden's physical incidents. Listen to an interview with Trump from now and the 90s with your eyes closed. You can't tell which is which. Do that with Biden, and you can't tell that's the same person. There's a night and day difference. Trump speaks publicly mear every day, often twice. Biden has spoken publicly the least out of any president ever recorded. He's spoke less than half of what Trump did while president. Biden has also crushed the record for most vacation days as president.
