Agreed, at one point a company suggested to remake this show but Chris lilley suggested for them to show it on North american tv broadcasting. I don't know why that was suggested but watching the original is reasonable and it is in the english language and easily understood without subtitles. A remake isn't going to capture the magic of this piece and basically what companies over here focus on too much than being original.
