Im not really a rap fan. But its performances like this, where i can actually hear lyrics instead of drools, swear words and sexual innuendos. That adheres me to this so much i have goose bumps.
Look at the big hair, the multi coloured suit and the lamp shade the woman's wearing.....Thats individualism, character, going out on a limb and being confident with it. Now you have a group of rappers all wearing the same threads, hanging out in ghetto, draped over the producers Aston Martin.

My family had one of those devices that gives you free cable tv when I was growing up. House Party was released on VHS and Pay per view in September 1990. I was in 8th grade. In fact, the first time I saw it was when I came home from my first day of school in 8th grade. Both parents worked so I had the house to myself for a couple hours. This scene blew me away. At the time I was still into 80s metal (if you want to call Def Leppard metal) and House Party - this exact scene - is what opened my eyes & ears to the joys of hip hop. Because nobody in my school had seen this movie yet, it's always had a very personal meaning to me. Like when you discover a band before they get famous. I hear they're remaking House Party. A fool's errand if you ask me.
