Greg did not mentioned their fish paste are made from 2 different fishes, that is why this stall has been my all time homemade fish balls and fish paste Yong Tau Foo favorite. If you know any fish balls that good, pls share in the comment.
Asian Borders wow! Didn’t know that too! Do you happen to know what the two types of fish they use...?
@@GregoryLeow One fish that is common Sai Tao Fish but the other not too sure from Hokkkien translation Potato Fish. You can find it on my vid

I always tell the hubby "This is how everything needs to be reviewed! By Gregory Leow!" Fine job sir, fine job!
😂😂😂
3:50 u know the food is old school and taste good when there's a fly in it ^^
LOL even the fly wants to have a taste.
Really awesome content that you're putting up!!
One of the underrated youtube food reviews... always eagerly waiting for new videos .. thumbs up
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Your video really give in-depth food review man. Deserves more viewers. Really scrutinize the food lol
Nice 2019 video Bro......must try when i'm around..
woah those fish balls. amazing
There is a yong tau foo stall at Jalan Besar food centre which is old school style
Looks extremely decent!
My favourite stall 🌷😋
I've looked at it in the past but never eaten there. It's just gone on this year's hit list for when I come over in July/August.
This is becoming an annual thing for you!
@@GregoryLeow Yes, I'm doing my best - 16 trips since 2001, although some of those were stopovers going to & from the UK. It's still a poor second to living there. For this year's sortie I'm staying in Keong Saik, so I'll have seven hawker centres within 1K
My favourite stall
Greg, show your pes c/e NS boys some love and review some good food there! (Dumpling noodles at 118 Depot Lane hawker, prawn noodles at CMPB canteen B) etc.
This is good stuff - the broth is very drinkable
Good enough they open early that l can avoid lunch crowd
Welcome to Greg's Big Eats. Where he eats through the whole of Singapore, especially at a select group of Hawker centres, namely Golden Mile Hawker Centre. 😂
Just kidding bro. Love ya. Saw you zipping about Clementi in your e-scooter earlier this week!
Haha! Near my workplace lah!
@@GregoryLeow Wah Seh! I was driving past then saw you and yelled to myself in the car, "That's GREGORY LEOW!!!"
AAAAAAAAAaaaaahhhhhhh!!!
Then proceeded to miss my turn.
Thanks Greg! 😜
😂😂😂
Haha. you look very satisfied and can go sleep liao. Come to Malaysia and there more places to explore. All old school.
Gregory, u make me Hungary.
So where are they going to move to?
when you order 12 piece at YTF.... you're as high SES as it gets
😂😂😂
Greg there is no fish maw, it is dried fried pig skin. I am sure.
bet the stallowners felt a bit intimidated when you bring such a big dslr to film them haha
a bit but they quite media savvy already lah
Berseh food center special chilli yong tau foo
I prefer a bunch of fried stuff doused with the sauces and sesame seeds but this looks clean and fresh enough to convert me.
dude, you also a fan of the "Am Pang" version yong tau fu?
WuSong Haw Yes I like that. As long as it’s deep fried and then soggified with oily salty gravy. Even better is the hakka style with tonnes of crispy pork lard.
ghim moh hawker got one too
I’m with her no cucumber water for me hahah
😂😂😂
Love to try, but not sure if the broth is made of chicken stock.
It’s fish stock primarily
Yong Xiang Xing Dou Fu at People's park complex food center is made fresh on the spot and is excellent. Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu at china town complex is just as good. Both are better than the one you just review - in my opinion.
In my opinion, all have got different style. I’ve blogged about Xiu Ji for Hungrygowhere and find it good for the money. However I’ve vlogged about yong Xiang Xing (czcams.com/video/0vt2JKsF7eU/video.html) and wasn’t too impressed back then. The tofu was sour on a few occasions and the soup was very salty. Haha. However it was a year or two ago. It could have been an off period for them.
Fish maw or fried pig skin...
young to fu jurong west the best...
Really curious are those kids your children or grandchildren?
Wilson Wilson children la, so mean you hahhaha
@@charmainechin9249 Kids so young
Yeah they’re my kids. I had my first kid when I was 40. Too old!
@@GregoryLeow Age is just a number, in a blink of an eye they will be 20
Wilson Wilson and I will be 60! Haha. If I had known what joy they bring, I would have had them earlier but that is life
It is extremely difficult to find handmade fresh yong tau fu..... 95% of the hawkers out there serve the extremely bad factory stuff. how i wish there were more hawkers that take pride in their food,,,,
That piece looks like pig skin rather than fish maw but i could be wrong. Great video as usual.
truthfully I get confused between the two! they look so alike
Lousy stuff!
as the saying goes, one man's meat is another man's poison :) where's your favourite?
dude, we would be really interested to find out why you think it is lousy stuff. can you elaborate?
