I like to think he didn’t destroy/kill everyone in the universe. Rather he kinda just shrunk everything down while in taking it, and now the known universe just kinda exists in a shrunken state inside his stomach. He also transferred the space-time continuum into there so the “space” where the universe once was isn’t in the same “place” if that makes any sense, but it still exists.
Bonus lore: Demo is now the protector of this universe and keeps it safe from the influences of other universes and their respective celestial beings by keeping it tucked away inside his stomach.
He has full control over his stomach’s functions so the living beings inside won’t accidentally get genocided by a random slosh of stomach acid.
